  1. I can't identify these either but you really need to check for aventurine in the green of the third one (with that nice black stripe) - I'd check for it in the black too.
  2. Game marbles are usually just one solid opaque color. These look like West Virginia swirls.

    3 more for ID

The first one looks most like a modern Marble King and the last one might pass for a Vitro. The middle one doesn't resemble any American marble I know of, and I am not confident any of them are USA-made. The color combinations on the second and third marbles are great though. I especially like the blue on the second one! I would check for aventurine in the green on that one too. It is most easily seen in sunlight and it sparkles.
  4. It took a while to come up with this - it was worth the wait.

    Akro?

    I think it's a newer Marble King.
  6. Nice Vitros and a nice size. They appear to be Chickpeas or variants.
  7. It sure would be nice to have more info about European machine-made marbles, or the marbles that were exported from here, if they were different than domestic products. I find it a little surprising that there isn't more known about European machine-made marbles or that, apparently, the marble collecting hobby isn't as well organized there as it is here - at least I have not seen any marble boards with European addresses. If I had to, I would probably try to learn a different language just to participate and see what I could learn!
  8. The first one and the last one have nice colors.

    More Mojo's

If the red was opaque - it looks transparent to me, the right one could pass for a Vitro All Red.
  10. Those are some fat Cats. I like them when they're over-stuffed.
  11. Thank you, Joep. I had seen that site before. Here is a side-by-side Google translation of the page (Dutch to English) for folks who may be interested. If I am not mistaken, Cees (@cvdv), the Author, is also in Holland and he posts here occasionally.
  12. This is very interesting Joep. Can you tell me where the story is from?
  13. In general for Cat's Eyes, those with more vanes and more colors are better. It's even better if different colored vanes cross-through one another. It looks like you might have an 8 or 9 vane on the left in your last pic.

    Euro Sparkler ?

Sparklers usually have filaments of different colored glass running pole to pole inside the marble. These look kind of like single-vane Cat's Eyes to me.

With the new pics, I am leaning even further toward Vitro.

It's different. It reminds me of some Santa Clauses I have seen - but the colors are different, of course.
  17. I agree, it looks mostly like an Akro, but I have not seen any other four colors like it so I have my doubts . . .
  18. Looks more like a swirl than a slag to me, but there's not much to go on, and I wouldn't want to stretch too far for an ID.
  19. They do not look American-made to me, Joep. Do you know if there are any reference works for machine-made marbles from European countries - even published in a language other than English? Do you know of any other machine-made marble collectors, or collector's clubs over there? It sure would be nice to find an expert on the subject.
  20. The first looks Akro, maybe Vitro. The next two are JABO, I think.
  21. Kinda hard to see. They look mostly Asian to me but . . . ?

That'd be a pretty crazy Pelt, at nearly an inch . . .
  23. This is exactly what I am thinking, Steph, and why I am hesitant to stretch too far to ID some as American-made.
  24. These look more like JABO Classics to me.
  25. I would guess Alley on the first and the third, even though the structure looks a little JABO. The second is a wacky patch that looks Akro to me.
