  1. Pretty sure it's a JABO Classic.

    Jabo?

JABO would be my guess too.
  3. It might be a wild Peltier but I don't think it's a Jewel. It would be helpful to see straight-on views of both seams. Did you take the photo in black and white?
  4. Starting off this week's Slags and Swirls Saturday early with a wild one. I really like this marble a lot. It's a hand-gathered, single cut-off CAC with some crazy drizzle and a transparent red base. I'm guessing it's an atypical Bloodie variant - pretty nuts.
  5. I agree with Alan.
  6. I agree with Vacor.
  7. I think the one on the right looks like a real stone agate. The left one is giving me JABO vibes.
  8. Marbles can look really cool backlit. I guess that's why they're often used in kaleidoscopes.
  9. Note: The "windshield" has to replace an equatorial ribbon and not a polar patch for a Peltier to be called a Windshield - transparent polar patches are a lot easier to find.
  10. Fiction: I'm pretty sure these marbles were made before 1958 when the Ford Galaxie was first produced.
  11. It looks like a spun JABO classic with that bubblegum-colored Fenton glass. Does it glow?

    PPP?

You may have a few types here. It's hard to tell. We'll likely need more than one view of each marble and it's hard to tell which marbles are which here. Try a few different views of no more than two marbles per post and it will make things a lot easier. This is too much like work for me. 🙂
  13. Vitro might have called this one a Dulite. I would expect a more opaque patch on a Conqueror.
  14. @VaMarbles That's a good marble. Here's another . . .
  15. I totally agree. And the search function rules. If you can't find a topic of interest here it's probably not worth knowing about. 🙂
  16. @Alan Good post, Alan. It really is important to keep things in perspective. The guys that were making these marbles in the 1930s were probably earning around $2.00 a day. And I'll bet they never could have imagined that one day, one of the 10,000 marbles they made on a given day might sell for a full year of their salary.
  17. This is very cool, Jess. And you know what's crazy? I just saw this about 2 days ago - I kid you not! I love perusing old threads too. 😄
  18. A couple of Chalky Conquerors - the left one has a pretty big blowout for a Vitro.
  19. I really have no idea about the UV - first time I've ever noticed it.
  20. Here are a few more . . .
