I thought that making two separate forums would cool down the issues the board has had of late. I realize that segregation is not the answer. If members cannot post with out snide comments or attacks, I will start something I DO NOT want to do. If you can't be respectful, I will make it so that I have to approve every post that members make. I will then be able to stop the crap before it hits the boards. My son asked me why people act like this, he is 10, and HE GETS IT. Don't make me Big Brother. Lou

This was caused by the last update to the boards software. Here is the post from tech support that explains what was happening. "They did an automatic patch this time for users on 2.3.6.. I don't particularly like it, but.. In a way it's good.. What's been happening, and you can see the Blog post through the link in your ACP.. Spammers have been manually registering accounts to get past the CAPTCHA.. Then using a script to automatically PM every user on forums.. Now, outside of the annoyance factor to you.. It puts a heavy strain on the servers, and because users usually are setup to receive an email when they get a PM.. Servers are being reported as sending spam via Email, and getting blacklisted. So, causing all kinds of problems. This PM flood control puts a stop to it.. But 5 minutes is a bit excessive.." I have changed it to one minute. Anyone having issues, please contact me. Lou

Bruce; I'm the person you need to contact about this. Is it really 3 days? When I did it, it said to wait one minute between posts. (this is for flood control in case of a virus to stop spam). Let me know, if it really is doing this I will have tech support investigate. Lou

That is the same thing I tell everyone that complains about the JABO threads. Post something and get the ball running. Some asked to split the main board into vintage/JABO forums. If I did that there would never be any posts in the Vintage forum. Lou

The only way is to host on a server outside of here. Our board automatically shrinks them down to speed loading. Lou
