Todays find. No facets on them at all. Package looks older. Box is 4" x 3" marbles or "spheres" are 1" Toys? or some other use.

Hmmm looks a bit different than what I found. Got things working so here is what I was thinking were Jellies? Could be wrong? The dark is transparent as are many of the ribbons on some. Pics can tell you more than I can.

LoL nope good pontils. Been at this long enough to spot those cruddy fakes. Just nice ones. I do have my eyes open for those fakes though.

Just started the sorting. Aside from the gobs of Euro machine mades I found what looks like some oh so rare Jelly core handmades. Computer is being all farty about accepting my Fujiware software but I will figure it out asap and get some pics up of what I found. Anyone have any pics of Jellies for me to compaire to?

I like the darker blue and black one in the bottom left. A little darker than usual.

Does this type exist without a nice faceted pontil? Just something that was pointed out to me that made me go hmmmmm. Anyone have pics of a Single Ribbon Core with the later rough pontils?

I get a little laugh from it yeah. Nothing funny about one of his feedbacks though. I quote: "item arrived smashed, seller threatened to hurt me! BEWARE" He was selling China marbles and packed them badly I assume.

I might have to add him to my blocked bidders list. He seems like too much of a hassle to deal with to me. I did send him a nice return email inviting him to ask his whos who of marbles posse to come here and have a look at it. A couple are actually regular readers so they won't have to look far.

Thanks I do try real hard to capture all the little nuances a marble has. I don't do any editing except for a light sharpen so that the little things stick out more.

Selling as a Naked Single Ribbon Core? Being told by a namedropping Ebay troll that it is not? And that it is polished down or a contemp? Granted my auction pics do not show the well constructed pontil on the bottom. I took another one that does show it here (last pic) and even that was real hard to capture since it is so clean. Am I missing something? Please help fill in my education if I am wrong.

This one is 13/16" and in no way doctored or dug. Just one that the person who was putting the sets together that day thought was nice enough to go out. Glad they did. Since it's not an Akro it will be going on Ebay next Thursday.
