  1. Gladding-Vitro was the Vitro company name from 1969 through 1982. I don't recognize that as an All-Red, or even as a Vitro from that era. Was the bag sealed when you found it?
  2. My birthday marbles DAS Equinox, 9/25/18 A mist of lutz on the 2nd from the right, middle row.

The texture + structure looks modern Asian to me. Gotta be one of the prettiest I've seen.
  4. .... I guess sometimes the color funnel went one way and sometimes another without them telling it to .... just a guess .... sometimes it spun quickly and you got a lot of twists on the marbles and sometimes it hardly spun at all and you'd get a lazy cork or even a patch.
  5. It means you have a surprising number of corks which just go the other way. Someone with access to a lot of corks (I think it was Dani) said they found about a 50-50 split between the clockwise and counterclockwise corks. (Keep it in your Akro pile.)
  6. Hey, peltheads, check out his color.
  7. Yeah, I think so. With those two loops, it's looks like the baseball-stitching style of NLR. What colors are you seeing in hand?
  8. that's different .... Just looked it up. I see I was in high school when it came out. I should have known about that one. But I did not.
  9. Looks vintage from here.
  10. Someone posted this on facebook ... Sistersville Marble Festival in the news. Some years it's on my birthday. I need to go. http://www.newsandsentinel.com/news/community-news/2018/09/sistersville-marble-festival-rolling-forward-for-19th-year/

Gonna say no. I think WV swirl, not Akro.
  12. Just found this one in a wooden box ... that maybe I got from one of my husband's friends? The glass feels Rainbo even if the pattern might make me want to say NLR. The yellow seems a little unusual -- a dark gold maybe with a little olive tint. Darker than in the picture. I need to pull out some more yellows ... at least the Mandarin Bee ... maybe I'll find it's perfectly normal. But I couldn't wait to get a picture.
  13. Nice little knick knacks. The marbles are Asian.
  14. Same with Alley pistachio. Same with bullet mold marble. Was sad that I didn't have them ... and then was reminded that I had them for years. Oh well, something to be said for being surprised by your marbles every time you go through them again.
  15. I was feeling sad that after all these years I still didn't have any mellon balls ... melon balls? How is that supposed to be spelled? So, anyway, I was feeling sad that I didn't even have any simple mellon balls. Except .... I do have mellon balls. I've been sharing this picture of Albert's marbles for years. But I only think of them as Albert's marbles ... I don't think of what the marbles actually. Doh!
  16. Gotta be a Tri-Color Agate. I don't think it would be called rare, but don't see 'em everyday. That is a beautiful spiral in red and white no matter what you call it.

I'm not seeing any clear structure to it. So that's making me wonder about dug Akro.

A little bit of me wants to say Akro. The brown is probably what threw my first guess to Vitro.
  19. Another pretty one. Can't you give us something easy?! I think Akro. (second guess Master)
  20. perty I'd guess Marble King because of the relative symmetry of the patches.
