  1. Not grease from the rollers. Something about the chemicals or minerals in the glass formula.
  2. And Pre-1936 is right. Say 1930 give or take.
  3. Ooooooh. Peltier Christmas Trees. With the brown, I guess that might make them "Burnt Christmas Trees". And 7/8"? That's cool. I don't know about aventurine. I'm not seeing sparkle. Are you? I wouldn't be surprised.

    Vacor?

coool! I'm just not familiar enough with the frits to be able to say Mexican or Asian. The one which looks like paint splattered around the marble is the only one I think of as for sure Vacor. I guess I'll have to try harder to remember the characteristics the next time I run across an identified Vacor frit.

    Vacor?

My guess would be Asian. I don't remember if I've seen clear based style like that from Vacor.
  6. They won't believe the clairvoyant who just sends them an appointment. Before they can get help with their problem they need to show they're ready to get help by going through the steps of seeking out the clairvoyant.
  7. Victories are clear inside. With white inside that's a variety of Conqueror.
  8. Going through this thread looking for a particular marble and I tripped over this one and ..... aaaaaaaahhhhhhhh.

I feel so silly. How could I get that wrong? I even stared at it wondering if I had it right, and thought about the first MK location. And still didn't catch myself. *blushing*
  10. These are a different run .... but I didn't write down the name of the run. Anyone recognize it? Small. 1/2" to 19/20". [Edit: they're Jabo Scalawags]

    My vote is Vitro.
  15. A friend of a friend has a complete set of U.S. patent books from 1912 to somewhere in the 70's. He's moving and is reluctantly parting with them for about $15 apiece. If there's any particular book which you want for patents on marble machines or anything else, let me know soon so I can get you in contact before the movers arrive.
  16. Essentially solid color marbles are very hard to pin down.
