  1. Yah ... that was one kind of Moss Agate ... and that's what most people think of. That's why the name isn't glamorous enough for us modernified collectors! LOL. Even though it was the pride of Akro's line.
  2. I thought Vacor also. But you're the one with it in hand. And the closest I found was this ...... https://www.billes-en-tete.com/detail.php?id=93
  3. 99.9999% certain that Akro would have sold it as a Moss Agate. Different from their Tri-Onyx Agate line (which was the Popeyes). Moss Agate is not a well-loved name by modern collectors, not for this type. So maybe they have some special name like Creamsicle.
  4. Sometimes if you play it up well, you can increase your sales by stressing the UV. But you might be marketing to UV collectors as opposed to marble collectors.
  5. I'd guess in general. It is a term that was used for marbles. And probably not very many people knew that they were actually made by someone named Alley. I can't remember Mr. Alley's marble packages being branded with the company name.

    Bulgarian?

Agree it is very pretty. Maybe you could work out a deal and keep it.
  7. Not very large, then. My two guesses are Jabo and Alley.
  8. Not a flaming dragon -- because it is not a Peltier. It is some kind of a swirl. What size?
  9. I have a particular fondness the confetti. They're all gorgeous.
  10. So you've had yellows and oranges and browns, but not that shade of amber?

    Id help

    I think Akro. Akro Royal.
  12. The pair may be in the Tiger Eye family ... but the last view makes me think maybe a little earlier than that. For the standalone, that's big for even a Jabo. But that's my best guess for now. A Jabo Classic.
  13. The going back for a 2nd gather is an interesting explanation.
  14. Vitro in post #1. What size is the one in post #2? (If large it could be a Jabo Vitro. If standard size, then WV swirl companies are an option ... or it could still be a Jabo Vitro.)
  15. Steph

    I'd please 5/8

Maybe one of the lesser known WV companies? Maybe Heaton?
  16. Pretty! Very desirable marble, too.

    Jabo?

The glass is not a texture that I recognize for Jabo. The color combo is making me think of European. But I don't know.
  18. I'll have to pull my swirls out. It doesn't shock me! But I don't know if that means anything.
  19. Dindo asked the question over here: http://marbleconnection.com/topic/23582-moonie/ What actually makes a Moonie change color when backlit? keeperthread
