  1. What was it that corks were called in early MCSA publications? Was it spirals for all of them? (Ya, as far as company names, at least in the early 1930's, the spirals were the colored ribbons on clear base and the onyx were the white ribbons on the colored base.)
  2. Went down to our Lake today. In the daytime. Thanks to Bob for fixing the bike so it wouldn't seem like such a chore to go that full mile. A bike is much better than roller blades.
  3. I like the Champagne bases. And others. I was pretty sure what they were, but couldn't say 100% because I remember one run which reminded me of them.
  4. What a strange and pretty end that fly met.
  5. ....... someone named Ann posted this one most recently .......
  6. Neato. I either didn't know or didn't remember that Masters could have such debris. Nice effect.
  7. Gosh, Bo, that marble is a looker.
  8. A treasure. And you dug it? How exciting that must have been.
  9. That's some exotic fruit. I am calling it an ambrosia salad.
  10. I get out so little that I was unaware that the decision had been made to preserve the Budweiser bottles. There was a big ruckus about them being removed, and I got all bothered about it, but I became resigned to them being gone. All things change, right? So I'm glad the owner decided to preserve the landmark.
  11. Oh, I didn't see this when I posted. "Spiral" is usually what I say, but if you see me saying "snake" please forgive me. I'm more of a joiner now.
  12. They look a whole lot like my Tribute to Friendship group. March 6th, 2009
  13. I did not recall that one in particular. But what a beautiful mess! I love it. You gotta wonder how that one escaped into the general population.
  14. I think of 'em mostly as clear based with ribbons that are the opposite of augers. Because that's my mental impression of the mathematical intersection of all the ways I've seen the category defined. My instinct is to be as much of a purist as I can until the opposing forces become so strong that the dam breaks and I go with the flow. But I can see why someone would use it for the whole set of transparent based corkscrews which don't have some other obvious name such as popeye.
  15. Definitely cool to see the distinctive Bogards in the Champion mix.
  16. I'm not seeing the structures I would recognize as Christensen.
  17. Exquisite really is the word. The top left one with the tan is out of this world.
  18. Thanks guys. I never realized that about the Champ bags -- nice assortment in that one. And I do love that freaky green on in the blister pack.
