If the white-ish ribbons of a transparent swirl glow, does that make it more likely to be Playrite and/or Jackson than some other maker? Due to Vitrolite cullet?
Or are glowing ribbons a chance across many makers?
Peltier Rainbo on the red, white and blue.
Nice one.
And I'll say Vitro on the green and white-ish one.
I guess the style name on that one would be Conqueror. It looks a little different to me, but it has to be a Conqueror, right?
I'm not at all sure of value. Wouldn't even want to guess. But if I had to, I'd guess like $10 to $20. If someone could identify the artist, it might be found to be more valuable.
This is what we call a contemporary.
It is made by hand by a marble artist. It was made relatively recently.

Interesting. Different.
Yes, newer MK would be my guess ... and then my question would be is it be a true hybrid or was that an intentional combination?
I don't know how to cook beans! Rice takes less than 20 minutes, so I can deal with waiting.
Today: Almond nachos.
Yes, I know, pecans seem like a more natural choice, but you make do with what you have.
George is a font of knowledge. I should ask him about this box.
I thought about this being after the Master purchase of Akro. However, the Master marbles are from the beginning of the Master production ... so 20 years before that purchase.

I don't remember ever seeing a box with this general decoration with a clear window. And as an added twist it appears to have some nice early Masters in it.
That's a tricky one.
I could see it maybe having come from an Ace run but one with little white. Might need some of the white in there to get the opalescence. Have you seen the Peerless peewees which almost have a clear base ... just a wisp of white? [Very late edit: I'm pretty sure I would have meant to say Acme Realers there, rather than Peerless Patches.]
Since we don't see Aces identified very often, I've often wondered how short the production time was, and if it was short then why that might have been so. And one of my guesses was that it was hard to control the consistency of the Ace base.
