  1. Somehow that single marble I posted last ended up looking like it had a champagne base. It's crystal clear. I need to fix that. I GOTTA get busy photographing my D.A.S.'s. Very far behind. For an idea of how far behind ... (that's three high in back)
  2. The style name for the Vacors is "Fiesta". Vacor Fiestas are a discontinued style.
  3. I know not what you mean. There is only burp in my world.
  4. The top one looks like an agate. Actual stone. And it looks like it has moons, so I bet it's an old one. Could have been some boy's shooter 100 years ago. The bottom four marbles look new. I think they're Vacors, from the last 15 years.
  5. I don't think it is a corkscrew. Akro made the corkscrews and I don't think that is Akro. Could be a neat Vacor with an unusual structure.
  6. Not quite following. You had two and gave them away?
  7. Mine from this latest run are still plus-sized ... in the neighborhood of 11/16".
  8. Good question, Sir Cray. Hopefully it won't get too crazy for anyone who sticks around. I'll close the thread if it looks like it's going to go up in flames.
  9. You gotta save some marbles out of all of it? Now you got me wondering which ones would be the last to go.
  10. Tomorrow. For sure tomorrow. Resting all muscles today coz of my sad elbow. Definitely tomorrow. Committed to this. Gonna work up some speed on the first mile and then try to add a second mile before winter.
  11. Ugh ... took apart the plumbing under the kitchen sink. Much twisting was involved -- used both hands. Elbow felt fine last night. But overnight it became inflamed again. Yum. Is this what arthritis sufferers live with on a regular basis? But in positive news, four days ago I ran my first straight mile. And two days ago I ran my second. Booyah.
  12. I have some nice boxed sets I'm planning to post soonish -- always struggling with my picture taking skills -- grrrr -- but they're sweet sets and I still plan on doing it even though Rich is doing such a good job keeping up to date with his photos of the runs.
  13. Lovely arrangement. I think I'll gaze at those for a little while. My bunch were Cairo Novelty -- from a thread from way back about butt-you-know-whats.
  14. I would feel very presumptuous defining WV swirls in an absolute way. I wasn't sure if others would list Mid-Atlantic since they were modern but I'm open. Personally I would be interested in shooter and boulder swirls made by any of the WV companies at any time. I thought I'd seen swirls in Vitro bags but they were a Washington company at the time. When were your Vitro shooters made?
  15. Freaky that they would be so clearly Pelt and there would be so relatively few of them, and only one person would possess them (until Joe distributed them). Leaves the door open to the possibility of other Pelt styles having been made and disappearing without anyone ever finding out about them. Made, discarded, paved over, gone.
  16. Some of them look like 1930's Vitros.
  17. Is that with the blacklight? Or does the green come out like that in regular light? I don't have a guess. I'm just curious.

    This Patch

I couldn't even say the decade, but I would like to learn it.
  19. Yup. I don't know Wolf, but that's the right name. Are they yours now?
