  1. Marble King. That style is called the "patch and ribbon". Colored ribbon around the middle and colored patch on the end.
  2. Going with Marble King.
  3. lol ... Does that have an iridescent finish? My first thought was that it was a Vitro Tiger Eye. If it has an iridescent finish, then we're gonna have to bump it into the "modern, foreign" category.
  4. Interesting. If the yellow strip is only on one end then that pattern is more like a Marble King. But colors .... hmmmmmmm yes, pretty.
  5. I see why you'd think oxblood. Seems unlikely. At least part of the red area is not oxblood. Yes, to Peltier Rainbo. I think we can call that one a 7-Up.

    Vitro? (1)

First guess: Marble King. Second would be Vitro.
  7. I think you have an Akro Lemonade right there. Lights up brightly under blacklight?
  8. Thank you, Bob, for restoring my faith in "priceless".

    1938

    While I'm in the neighborhood
  10. I forgot to post the 1938 article I found a little while ago. When you posted the box on FB, I knew the 1932 seemed too restrictive. Or are these later versions of the logo not as close to the one on the box as I think? Here's a 1938 ad which mentions marbles and has a little birdie. And here's a similar-looking bird from 1955. A bit different.
  11. The impression I've received over the years is that even if it were a complete match with the color of yellow found in egg yolk oxbloods, it still wouldn't be called egg yolk in a popeye. *now stepping back to see what others say*
  12. thanks interesting that "priceless" in my mind could be $85 to someone else.

    Pictures

Strange. You have been able to upload before. Wonder what changed. Were you able to upload a single one? If you'd like, email one or more to me: sjharrison at ameritech dot net so I can see the size. (Is anyone else having trouble with files they know are small enough?)
  14. lol But I still don't know who made it.
