  1. I kinda sorta remember them getting marble-related help after the war. My working theory is still that the transitionals were pre-war. And then we have the jump from transitionals, whenever they were, to cat's eyes in the early 50's. I love this topic.
  2. The flying monkey looks dejected about losing that marble.
  3. If I recognized that structure I would have tried to make a joke about how much clear that akro astronomical sighting was in that country. Foiled again by my lack of culture!
  4. I'm baaaaaack. Lots of reading to catch up on.
  5. I'm not here again. I have something I MUST MUST MUST do right now soonest before I post any more. But happy April.
  6. That looks so great in the photograph. I think it must look even better than it could in hand.
  7. I split the origin-of-exotics post off. They're over here: http://marbleconnection.com/topic/20643-origin-of-exotics-cont/
  8. I had some softly worn ones which I sold to someone who probably didn't appreciate them as much as I did. I have about three left. I like those. You know, no conspicuous chips. No cracks. Just a whole lot of pocket wear.
  9. Not getting a great feel for the structure, but the colors are really loudly saying, "Peltier Multicolor".
  10. It's not an Exotic. It's just really strange.
  11. How strange and wonderful ... where do you find something like that? .... ah, the second photo is the clue ....
  12. The section which looks like the whole base of the marble? What an odd color.
  13. In the top left view the light stops me from seeing the upper edge of the patch. However, based on the top right view and the nonmetallic parts of the colors, and possibly the little bit of glow, I'm leaning Peltier.

    Jabo Or?

That's my guess. Glass looks old and lot was old.
