  1. The seams are kinda hard to see on this transparent base. Do you see where the ribbons join on the side? That's the start of the seam. And I'm not sure but it looks like there might be a line in the glass which you might be able to see or feel in hand. But I really am not sure if I'm seeing the end of the ribbons correctly. Tried to draw close to the seam with the green line. In this view it's easier to see the ribbons coming together on the edge of the seam. (And there will be another seam where the ribbons come together on the other end.) If you don't see what I'm getting at, don't worry. This is a tricky one. Will be easier to pick out seams on other marbles. (:
  2. Here's one I'd call a calligraphy, from Joemarbles.com. It has the look of stylized ink marks.
  3. Alley seems like a good guess for it. I probably wouldn't call it a wirepull. Maybe someone else would or if they wouldn't, maybe they could articulate why.
  4. Hi Jesse. Photographing transparent marbles can be really hard. Not bad at all. My first thought was Peltier Rainbo. But then I thought Vitro. Maybe a Vitro Cosmic Rainbo. And that is what I am leaning toward now. For purposes of art, angles are nice. For purposes of ID, I prefer to see seams straight on. Helps me orient myself on the marble.
  5. For yours, the left is MK and I think the right is actually Peltier.
  6. I'm ready. But you have to knock loud or use your cell. The doorbell doesn't work.
  7. Might be an interesting time to compare CAC's transparent swirls to their slags.
  8. Post some marbles which look like they could be made by more than one company. A couple of Peltish Marble Kings: My single-seam bumble bee: Rainbo-y translucent one from early 2000's (I think)
  9. My guess might have been that it was heat-damaged but that one band being clear is puzzling for sure.
  10. Remind you? I sure don't remember. Are they Marble Kings?
  11. First guess Master, by the numbers. Second guess Kokomo, by the looks.
  12. How they're made sounds the same. How they look is different. That's all I got. (This is my way of thanking you for the thread and bumping even though I got nuthin.)
  13. Why do I suddenly feel like singing Sitting on the Dock of the Bay?
  14. Nice catch, Ann. So then would it be in the Vitro Opal family?
  15. lol ... I passed on that video yesterday on facebook. Thank you for making me watch it. That was great.
  16. Hi Scott! Will be thinking of you. Hope you are feeling better soon. Thank you, Mike.
