  1. And when we write the marble club newsletter article on the subject, we'll use both Mojo's Rainbow Sherbet and his Yellow Sherbet as quintessential defining examples.
  2. I love the name "sherbets"! I'll do my part to help it catch on.
  3. Wouldn't it be amazing if we could make a breakthrough in that direction? Actual company names and actual company style names.
  4. I agree, this one deserves a name that sets it apart from the run-of-the-mill three-ribbon Imperial. C'mon folks, put on your thinking caps.
  5. Not meaning to interrupt Ron's valuable counsel ... just want to say that the second marble is quite lovely.

    Quattro

That bit of overlap in color makes me wonder if maybe I should have thought a little harder before saying that. But the larger three really do look like Veiligglas to me.

    Quattro

I'm still going with three Veiligglas and one Jabo.

    Quattro

I was thinking possible Jabo (or related marble) on that 4th one, not for the buttcrack but for the sheer number of colors.

    Cool find

No, I can't remember if I ever saw it ID-ed.
  10. LOTS of info in that video. Thanks to you and David.

    Cool find

Pretty sure I have puzzled over this marble before. Pretty sure I first saw it before DAS came into existence. At least well before the Wildflower run.
  12. Now I encourage you to start a new thread for each small group. Love the car.
  13. Yes, too many at one time. Sorry. The problem is made worse by the difficulty in pointing out which picture we're talking about. One of the groups of three would have been okay for a thread. Then we could say "top, left, right". That said, in the first photo, the bottom left looks like a Vacor Blue Macaw. In one of your groups of you have a peach and white marble at the bottom right. That would be Master. In the group of five, the red, yellow and black one may be a Vacor Twister.
  14. I'm seeing WV swirl on the second #8. And WV swirl on #1. On #3, I could go either vintage swirl or modern Vacor. Yeah, Jabo sounds good on #5, especially if it's a big one. Certainly considering Jabo on #7.
  15. #9 is pretty. Maybe Champion? Might be a little too close to "single color" to be sure in the end.
  16. #2 I think that is Japanese marble. One which is sometimes called a mushroom marble. Leaning that way on #6 also. #4 ... size? First thought was Master. #10 Master Thanks for putting fewer marbles in the thread today. Makes it easier for folks to jump in and try to take a shot at id-ing.
  17. beautiful little piece! and the history lesson is great too.
  18. Art touched all my thoughts on the blue one. I'd like to see the red one in different light.
  19. Laura Berretti is the relatively well-known person who has made these. Marbled Arts - marbled paper and marbled objects - Home page
  20. I'm getting a newer feel from the top one. Thinking Vacor. I think vintage on the bottom. Not Pelt though. I'm thinking Vitro. Akro would be my second guess, but I'm going pretty solidly Vitro.
