  1. what have you heard that deviates from your description? the only thing I would add is slowly ramping the cullet in a kiln and then rounding into a marble.

    Argentina?

winnie, yours looks like a Cario marble....here's mine
  3. Ric, I agree that that one might be another mfg. Would need more pics but it doesn't look right for Cairo. mon
  4. Can't tell on the dark ones but the rest are Cairo marbles. Nice e-bay grab! mon
  5. LOL! Well, only 6 more to go! I hated his page after page of listings in pre 70 cat.
  6. wow zaboo, that's a beaut! Don't remember ever seeing one before. Rylee, I only asked for a price range because the brick, superman, sparkler and 3 color flame are quite common on e-bay and should be an easy pick unless you want a "great deal". The Galaxy and snake are a hard to find item and giving a price range could save everyone time.
  7. What kind of price range are you looking for? mon
  8. So, all joseph's coats have an open core and min of 6 colors? jormibnut, I looked all over the net and books with no mention of a joseph's with mica so, you do deserve your pant's seat warmed. lol I would like to see one. thanxs for the replies. mon
  9. Yeah, your right. I should have stated that some seasoned collectors believe it to be a Jabo by his pics. And your also right in that, one definitely states it as a Jabo. Others think it's a butt crack. Thank you for showing me the errors of my ways. My point was only that, not only the new but seasoned collectors can be fooled buy the new Jabo's, including me. Plus, the difference in the price of a Jabo and a CAC puts that error in a hard to swallow light. If it happens enough, it could hurt this hobby. I know Galen has a way better grasp of CAC's than I! Sorry that the wrong word "majority" was used and it diverted you from my point and thrusted you into a mathematical loop. mon
  10. I'm thinking an onionskin but not sure. Did they make Joseph's coats with mica? thanks mon
  11. Also, a new old fashion http://www.ebay.com/...7#ht_500wt_1156 I think it's odd that people feel bad for the "new collector" when the majority of this board's members think Galen has a jabo, in hand and thinks it could be a cac. There's an e-bay seller that has an old dime pictured with every marble that has this title "MARBLES OLD VINTAGE HANDMADE? GERMAN? TORNADO? JABO". The crappy pic sometimes grabs my eye as a decent marble.......but I think most are Jabo's.

  16. I thought the company name with a clear base glass was "specials" and colored base glass was "onyx"? mon
  17. Galen, if I could post pics, I could ruin that record! lol
  18. I think small bubble pops(and large) are quite common with bricks! mon
