    Nova's?

So from what I looked at in the pictures (great work steph), only one of these seem to match the colors of a nova to me. It also has a v pattern to the ribbon. I will add some more pics.

    Nova's?

The only white novas I have seen in identification guides have had blue ribbons, which is why I question it being a nova. Is there a specific size that the novas were? I know they didn't make smaller ones but I have seen a few for sale in different sizes. All the ones in my books are 7/8".

    Nova's?

I think all 4 of these could be nova's, but obviously I have my doubts. I also haven't seen any pics of a nova with a white base and black ribbons. Sizes (from left to right in the group pic) 1", 15/16", 15/16", 7/8". Please let me know if more pics are needed.
  4. Could be contemporary European? I have seen some of these recently. Also looks similar to the planet zog marbles they have for sale on land of marbles (different colors though)
  5. Wish I could go. I am going to try to make at least one before vegas
  6. I can't tell if that's yellow or orange. Could it be a bloodie?
  7. The yellow patch glows orange under a blacklight
  8. I think it has the right coloring, but the purple looks a little light. Also, it is tough to see in the picture, but there is a thin clear patch just under the yellow. Measures 19/32"
  9. Also- huge estate collection=marbles I gathered up from various thrift stores
  10. It's really the people with the annoying shipping rates that get me. Nothing that weighs 5 oz cost $18 to ship. EBay still charges a final value fee for shipping charges so I don't get why people do that
  11. I can tell marble king pretty well, but I have a bunch of patch marbles that could be peltier, akro, vitro or some other company that I just can't quite be sure about. I certainly don't want to post each one here, so I figured I would see what some best practices you guys (and gals) had for these types of marbles.
  12. Landofmarbles.com has a forum with some good info

    Whajuthink?

I am trying to find them, but it looks like the ones I have that I have found so far that were similar are all 3/4" and look to have adventurine in them. Still look kinda alike to me
  14. Here are a couple. Not sure the 1" one is akro though. The other 2 are 3/4"
  15. The only difference is see between the two is the wispy white in the milky white in 213 so it could be an ace. I was separating the two styles because I thought they were different.
  16. Thank you. It did look a little light for oxblood, but has a similar look to it. The thing that made me think it was akro was the wispyness of the glass in the marble. Maybe some better pics would help?
  17. I am planning to go to the Vegas show. The Washington on is too far of a drive. I have been trying to find a club in socal to join
  18. All my bigger akros are pretty beat up unfortunately
  19. The accompanying paper says the company was in Robbins Tennessee and that these marbles may have been made in the 20's when their business was struggling.
  20. Yeah probably. They kinda look like the chinas, but with better detail
