"Welcome to Marble Connection Will" -Chad

Not trying to split hairs or anything but just to avoid any confusion Joeps mib is a "Shimmering Blue Spruce" as opposed to a regular "Shimmering Spruce" the names are actually quite accurate as to the species of tree. I live here in the PNW & am very familiar w/ many types pf wood. 5 lumber mills and 12 years working in the woods, plus 4 years slashing and firefighting all I seen was trees. Where the "shimmering Spruce" is relatively easy to acquire the "Shimmering Blue Spruce" is a HTF marble, especially w/o any damage !! Blue Spruce Christmas trees (L) beside regular spruce trees (R) you can see where the trees got their names as well as the marbles. We used to call the blue spruce Christmas trees "Child proof" the needles on them are prickly, some sharp enough to make you bleed, so kids were a little more wary of any "present peeking" until Christmas morning. Regular colored Alley "Shimmering Spruce"

"Welcome to Marble Connection" For a more accurate I.D. try and post about 3 or 4 at a time w/ a clear view of all 4 sides. Reason being it's hard to decipher and explain exactly which marble you're I.D.ing. You may have one marble in a bunch worth substantially more than the others. So a few at a time will make for a quicker and more precise I.D. Measurements of each can also be very important as to value or even type or manufacture. Your pix are great, nice and clear, a neutral background is best, grey is a good one. Bright colors will wash out the marbles or lead the camera to focus on the background instead of the marble. Just a few pointers in case ya run into a bit of trouble !! Again "Welcome" Oop !! Sorry Sam, didn't realize I already welcomed ya and I.D, some marbles for you. In any case a hearty welcome back then !! -Chad Foreign sparklers w/ a couple pee wee cats thrown in, here's a single orange cat. Nearly all Veiligglas but there appears to be 1 or 2 that may not be ?? These look like some kind of wire pull ?? Can't tell just from the one view ?? I see what could be a figure 8 but not committing to it, and another a possible transitional just not enough views to tell ?? Looks like I made a big Boo Boo. The first pi is Foreign sparklers w/ a 2 pee wee cats thrown in, sorry for te mislead Sam !!

The good thing about Rainbos. "Endless" I'll try & whip up a bunch of Rainbo pix for next Tuesday. Here are a few old pix, some are rehash that's why I have to take a new bunch.

Yes, correct, Red Bee= no av. Ruby Bee = av. in the red ribbons, most of the time in Ruby Bee's the av. is slight or very fine so a close look w/ the loupe aught a wrap it up. Man what a borderline case, I'd say MK for sure if it weren't for a slight lazy "S" seam in the first pic. Still it does appear to have a patch and ribbon like MK, especially the second pic ?? I'm a might on the fence on this example !!

I think it's pelt Brad, is the other seam on the K & M straight or wavy ??

"Welcome to Marble Connection" Glad you're here. Lots of knowledge & knowledgeable people here more than willing to share what they know & help ya out. Yes as William said much easier to I.D. your marbles if ya post 2 or 3 at a time, with multiple & as close as of a view as you can get & still maintain focus, if possible a measurement in fractions & if not mm is ok !! As said "Again Welcome" -Chad

Yes Bruce, both Pelt Rainbos

"Happy Peltier Tuesday" A little early tonight, figured I'd get er rollin for any late nighters. Here's a Pelt Bronze Zebra w/ bronze, silver & green av. Not heavy ribbons but the entire surface of the mib is covered in av. Sometimes taking a close look really pays of, I was missing some really beautiful aventurine until I took the loupe to this one, I have bad eyes anyway so I could barely see the av. w/ my naked eyes. I thought it was just a dirty mib at first !! I posted these a while back but we have quite a few new board members so I thought it was maybe worth a second look ?? Believe it or not I took these w/ my Sony Handycam, after many retakes I finally managed to capture what I was looking at.

More than likely Alley, if not some other W.Va. swirl.
