  4. Considered a 3 color special (R,Y,G) A so named a "Lifesaver by collectors. I used to hear them referred to as "Poll Parrots" but that name seems to have gone by the wayside, too bad, I kinda liked it. "Poll Parrot" right for the times I guess ?? Now we've arrived at this !! The av. patch I'm guessing is a (PPP) Peltier Peerless Patch Nice mibs David, you sure run into some nice ones !!
  5. Yes, I got an entire pyramid of them from a friend overseas !!
  6. They don't look metalic to me. They look like "Vacor Meteor" many they produce have that iridescent finish. LINK : https://www.billes-en-tete.com/liste_billes.php?lang=en Hello Joep we both posted at exactly the same time !! Hope we helped ya out Robert !!
  7. I agree with Art, anything like a rubber "O" ring or rubber stand works excellent. Prohibits the mib from rolling or moving. For pics I use a hard plastic "O" ring so I can easily rotate or position the mib. This is how I display all mine in either curios or display case shelves etc. besides the ones in cases. The rubber protects the mib from any possible scratching.
  8. Just a sample of the Treasure from my Brother overseas
  9. Getting up a pretty good pile of these things, these are the ones Phil already made for me.
  10. I found one "Vitro Lover" lookin, the big score !!
  11. Only one lone toothpick, slim already left & the pickins are gettin pretty thin around here 😭
  12. The 40 ct. box came from Phil, Brazilian hardwood called Bubinga wood. My hands are to shaky anymore, at the cost of wood I can't afford to make any mistakes. Phil does some Primo work, customized boxes and will make one from any kind of wood you wish. You probably have seen his boxes at shows or for sale on Ebay, he's been making them a long time. Not CNC but I'm ok with that.
  13. "Happy MK Monday" Rise & Shine We've all been granted another day !! Now it's back to the sack time for me
  14. "Welcome to Marble Connection" inkspot "I'd say you have a foreign manufactured mib.
  15. Mmm yeah !! Alleylitiouse !! Great mibs Bo, the double trouble & the purple are killer !!
  16. Oop !! I forgot about the staple thing !! Sorry bout that.
  17. Bags re ok !! You can still look through them. What I hate is when they pack the jar tightly & have it taped shut. I never buy these, I figure they don't want you looking through it for a reason. The one time the vendor was there, they let me un -tape it & what was inside was worse than what was outside, so an attempt to hide some terrible marbles, just my opinion on the taped shut thing. There is usually a rhyme to some of their reason. Some honest vendors I buy from at the coast let me open, examine & whatever because they know I'm serious about maybe buying their item which is the way everyone should conduct themselves. I guess I can see their point though, with thieves & such !! "Hope" ya score big at the little store William. Oh I did find some killer looking caramel slag trinket trays but upon closer exam they all had scratches or small chips "Drat" + some way overpriced Akro ware like you found, same color I think, kind of a turquoise color, pitcher and creamer $ 20.00 for one & $25.oo for the other, quadruple what I'd consider paying for a common color. "The search goes on"
  18. No !! I'm so glad you asked before you threw your marbles into a tumbler to a certain doom, along with being etched by the abrasive, the marbles will hit and bang together, further destroying them. "Never" use a rock polisher or tumbler on marbles, it will almost instantly ruin the surface. Instead of leaving it shiny like a rock it etches the glass giving it a rough "sea glass" like feel and appearance rendering the marble completely worthless. Good old fashioned elbow grease, a little soaking in water using a "non abrasive" soap & a brush will do miracles, maybe a couple times around but usually one good cleaning will do the trick. There are several different methods people use, a non abrasive soap & water is just one way.
  19. "Welcome to Marble Connection Brian" Good to have you !! Many years of combined knowledge & knowledgeable people here more than willing to share what they know or help ya out however they can, go ahead & jump right in !!
  20. Marble King, Bumble Bee Vacor, serpent Akro Snake Peltier Rainbo Vacor, maybe Grasshopper ?? From what I can see another, "Peltier Rainbo" Akro auger ??
