Jus a snippet of how far we will go, not necessarily intended to be entertainment, i.e. something to talk about How about this one for human greed, yes exactly how far will we go and since they say the average citizen is 30 years + behind what the scientific community is actually divulging to us, how does anyone know exactly how far gene splicing and interbreeding etc... has actually gone ?? Far beyond what any of us suspect or could even imagine I fear !! This is 4 years old, the zonkey and a few of the others I heard shortly after high school 40 years ago, and still people are surprised today ??

Looks almost "unreal" cute !!
-
Look, a new one !!! One of the only remaining photos as confusion set in this animal began eating itself before they could name it !!

x2, agree w/ Ric, Vitro
-
Well !! I guess everyone has to start somewhere ??
-
No problem Edward, I hope you get some killer Av. mibs, very beautiful., even though a production marble in most cases, nonetheless the av. makes them real lookers.
-
One reason I love rainbo's, endless !! Great Mib.
-
Yes a nice rainbow, I believe I can barely see the other side just over the top of the pic?? Ribbon is the same color as a Pelt Banana boat, kind of a washed out yellowish brown color if my monitor is correct ??
-
Hmmm, I was hoping maybe some more Looks like you'll be spared the agony this time !!
-
The three larger red patches are Vitro Allred's.

So 7/8ths, "Please" fractions whenever possible. Still a wire pull but I couldn't tell you where from, most likely foreign as Ric said. Great pic by the way, even captured the orange peel surface !!

Yes those are bubbles, AV. in a cats eye will usually be right on the surface of the internal color, commonly green. AV. will appear almost like fine to chunky colored glitter, most commonly silver, green, blue, Bronze, black There are some more HTF colors but stay her for now as not to confuse. A few pics should get you going. When you do find AV. it will be very evident & you will not mistake it again. Sometimes on those cats you have to use a loupe, I have to almost every time because of my eyesight. The av. will be plainly evident to you, and very distinguishable from an air bubble. SILVER & BLUE GREEN SILVER & BRONZE BLUE BRONZE SOME CATS EYES WITH CHUNKY GREEN AV. AN ALLEY AGATE SHIMMERING SPRUCE COVERED IN GREEN AV. AN ALLEY WITH BLACK $ GREEN AV.

Roger that, CAC or not some real beauties, I love em !!

Officially, anything above 85% AV. coverage is considered a cannonball, I have seen 100%, I believe Bill was the one who had a fully. Yours looks just under the 85 probably 70 - 75 but still a HTF killer, a very nice mib & for sure a keeper. In my pea size brain they're all becoming keepers anymore. A link to a post I made on the subject on the other forum. The 85% is a well known number with Pelt heads, cannonball is a fairly new name for a marble that's been around a long time. A Purple Tiger is the old school name for a marble I aggressively tried to get for years, similar to a cannonball. Names some have never heard but many of us are familiar with. I got the 85% number from a 45 year collector and knew 20 yrs ago they where VVHTF then and impossible now. I wouldn't be letting go of the zebra you have anytime soon. LINK : https://www.allaboutmarbles.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=46801&p=342522&hilit=cannonball#p342522 No an easy bird to pluck, many are close few make it, I sold my 90 in o9, by, by birdie. Someone's appreciating it right now, though the picture is still in my mind. This is what we called a Purple Tiger 20 Yrs. ago. A Tiger, somewhere between 90 & 95 % because of the blue Av. running over into and on the orange. I seen one a friend had 10 feet away sparkling in the sun, a very beautiful marble with almost 100%, after that pictures only. This is the only pic I have of one. Sooo glad I saved it !! I wish they would have taken this picture in the sun. I mentioned it on the other forum but nobody responded, probably in fear of everyone trying to get it from them if they identified themselves, never-ending pestilence.

The shed & sorting room are going to come regardless if you sell or not, you have been bit as we all have. One thing I always remember a dear friend telling me "You rule the glass, it never rules you" Now back to work
-
There is no end my Friend, I just bought another display (already full) I had to wall mount & as for the sorting !! do you see them stopping ?? Pretty soon it's gonna be and I think there's something running down my cheek, strange but I'm laughing at the same time You better start building your display shed now, I never could understand how something so small, could take up so much room ??

.......................................................................Feel's like I'm....................................................................... I guess it's time to open a new I gotta meditate on this one for s bit..................
-
And don't forget the soon coming & dreaded "resorting" after you're done sorting again now you know what this emoji is for, I didn't and always wondered about the smirk on their little faces ??

I'm with ya there Tommy, I like pics along with the description, seems to make it a whole lot easier Easy is good !! ( I think ??)

x 2, agree with Ric, all 3 MK, the first definitely newer, some of the newest have a pinkish base but same end patch pattern, when I seen the pinkish base on the new ones it threw me for a second. The old MK's had a patch on one end and a ribbon that extended all the away around the marble. Here's an example of the old school original patch & ribbon style MK spider men. Patch on one end and a single ribbon extending around the mib. This one has a bit of oxblood showing in the second pic on the bottom of the ribbon, some of my old time favorites are the Hercules, Wasp, Tiger & Bengal Tigers. Gotta go now some pics of them later !!! SPIDER MAN TIGER

Here are 3 of the familiar CAC s shapes on the end used as an Identifier, the first 2 are striped opaque's & the third is a submarine, all with the same signature CAC ends running from one seam to the other. Not every one I've seen has it but if it did a 99.9 % chance of it being a CAC. The 3 pics of seams are self explanatory, & yes agree a CAC peach slag is much more pink in appearance CAC ENDS CAC SEAMS

A great mib Bill, I traded its twin and 2 other 3/4" pelts in a deal with Sami at the Seattle show 4 years back, slick & clean an easy wet 9.8. all 3. VVVHTF one of those reddish orange swirls now, yours is only the 4th one I've ever seen as big and with the same pattern & color as mine not beat all to breakfast. A great mib Brother If I was still a kid ?? that'd be the first one I would start thumpin with my thumb & flingin @ the other mibs, probably not in such good shape in a very short order.
