Some very appropriate names, right on cue. some more beauties for the old Heaton folder. "Thanks for posting the pictures Chuck" Chad G.

I was just wondering Bill, a new name to me also, I don't really know just heard the new name recently, let me know if you hear anything about it ??
-
Try it now Roby I fixed the pic. I don't know why it did that ?? I resubmitted the picture and deleted the broken registry. Chad

Good Master Roby, Nice patch pattern !!

Is the first one what they're callin a pelt cannon ball ( loaded zebra ) now Bill ???
-
The first ones look like mostly Alley and or some W. Va. swirls, the blue ones look like a mixture of 4 or 5 pelts and the other 2 blue I have no idea, the green ones I see a Christensen swirl a couple pelts some Akro it's a real grab bag, the second white ones look like at least 1 Akro and the rest master?? and the orange ones I'm not to sure but will take a guess at Alley ?? last pic (r) side top a yellow akro or pelt I can't tell from the shot, second down is a marble king and the one on the bottom (r) looks like a vitro. You've got a real mish mash there a good assortment. I know I got a few wrong, someone will chime in w/ a more accurate assessment. " well it say's please ( try ) I.D." I tried.

REPURPOSED HOMEMADE MIB CASES !!!!!!!
Chad G. replied to Chad G.'s topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
" You're welcome " It's worked well for me, the only thing that cost a little was the foam, still not going to break the bank !!! Chad G. -
Very nice, a good name Chuck, for an outstanding marble, classic Heaton ear shape swirls. I looked at it last night for a while. I think you and I were the only ones on the forum at the time !! "Thanks for the bump man" Chad G. Just when I get started on Jabo ( long overdue ) I get pummeled by a load of Heatons, I wouldn't have it any other way. !!! Oh yeah, good mornin Chuck !!!

I'm almost sure it's a Pelt Dragon, still the swirls are a little off, I can't be 100% ?? man that thing has been to war, somebody's favorite soldier. That helmet w/blue and green is a keeper Bruce, I've never seen one like it

Unmistakably a hand faceted marble, those ripples are beautiful, I find these way more attractive than the contemporary glass polished sheen, alot of fast work and skill, These guys where compromising their lungs and didn't even know it, just supporting the family or making a few pennies an hour. Must have been very labor intensive piece work, if you didn't produce enough and a good quality you where probably outa there, lookin for another job.

Roll it over one more time into the light !! Well I see a blowhole, a common pelt trait unfortunately, is there any seam at all on it ??? might be a Dragon need a better look, those ribbons look kinda funky, maybe a miller, they're usually a bit bigger ?? Nice ribbon lutz in the back !! Go ahead and keep yours Boris, "Thank you for offering anyway, I appreciate it very much " I'll run into some here now that you all have me looking !!

What Is that Roby ?? I don't have a clue ??
-
Striped horses !!!
-
They're all good, keep em I would ???? Everything is gettin harder and harder to find, I've only seen one black face for sale in the last couple months, I don't have one yet.
-
C'mon not the popcorn gig Bill ?? Whooaah !! that bleep from you chiming in about made me lose my cookies Ron. Gotta turn that volume down a touch, WOW !!!
-
Thanks for the info Ron, to tell the truth I really didn't recognize either that's why Akro was just a maybe. I have a long way to go on Jabo's, just got my first few dozen a couple weeks ago. I should've stayed on top of it years ago now a lot of catching up. AHH well at least I'm gonna have fun doin it.

A CAC slag has the white color running in and out and around the marble, a true striped transparent will have the color on or very near the surface only "rarely" will the color barely penetrate the outside of the marble on a striped transparent. Here is an example of a true striped transparent, contrary to what they try to push elsewhere as a striped transparent most are slags, just a ploy to get some more money out of you. Again a pic of a true striped transparent. Note the white is only on the outside. The red 2 seamed CAC slag I have pictured above has white running all around the inside the same with the road and tunnel. Striped trans. are worth considerably more money and more rare than a CAC slag. How many CAC's like this do you see elsewhere. I just looked and there were about 25 or so listed as striped transparent and only one was true the rest were double seamed CAC slags or striped opaque's, some weren't even CAC. That's not many out of 31,000 listings. There is no color inside this marble, maybe a very miniscule amount close to the surface in one spot, thus the name striped "transparent" I hope this helps you Bruce I was duped more than once hopefully this will prevent the same from happening to you or anyone else.

Nice bunch of helmets, counting the black along w/ these a nice bunch, more than I have, good show Boris

assorted goodies, 10 countin the Akro ox plate they're sittin on. Under over, I'm just using available pix, a lazy day.
-
Killer tails on them slags Good lookin horizontal twist goin.
-
I just got these on accident, they came in lots or jars. I don't collect CAC's but you seem to acquire a little of everything over time. So I kept some of them just for G.Q.
-
Nice cat Roby !!!!
-
They certainly made some obscure looking cats, I seen the bags Ron has and almost every on has that strange seam. Thanks for the pix Chuck, not something I see every day !!!
