Looks like a banded solid core ?? I can't see any separation in the center from these pics anyway ! If you look real close & see any separation between the blue core and white strands then a tri level banded solid core. All I can make out from this pic Joep

Seen them a lot, I worked in a nuclear engine room in the Navy. I was on the USS Enterprise a nuclear powered Carrier, and worked in the engine room with a rating of Machinist Mate. 4 engine rooms with 2 reactors in each engine room. Agreed a great sign for your mib display. Marble looks more like MK instead of a Rainbo ??

Hmm, maybe the expanding gas (air) bubble caused the fracturing in the first place, making it appear as just being an air bubble. The log straight line is a fracture, as well as the small horizontal crack on the interior on one of the veins. So I see both a fracture & an air bubble.

Ball bearings Brother, keep them well clear of your mibs, they'll scratch them almost on contact. the only solid steelies that are worth any money have to be in the original packaging. Unless they're hollow then it's a gimme. The x looking pattern in the first pic is where they closed up the marble. Sizes all the way from pee - wee to around an inch. Orange peel not necessarily Vacor. I have many marbles from almost every manufacture with an orange peel texture. An orange peel texture is desired on an Akro Jolly Roger. Jolly Rogers "have to be over an inch to qualify" but the orange peel surface isn't a must just desired because it looks exactly like an orange peel, I believe this marble is where the term originated but I'm not sure ?? Be ready to pay up for one of these, just not that many around. Yeah, it looks like a bit of hvy pocket ware & some pitting, still a different looking one. I'd keep it, of course if your like me it's hard for me to toss any Pelt that isn't beat beyond recognition. i.e. "Pelt head"

Does it have aventurine ?? To be considered a Golden Rebel it must have Av. Still even if it has aventurine an odd one for sure. My best Golden rebel has av. in the black, red & yellow, with some green av. in the yellow

Gold is a bit off !! Av. = golden rebel "no av." not a golden rebel. Aventurine in at least the black ribbons is a qualifier for Golden Rebels. No av. Rainbo for me !!

Nice job Steph I couldn't figure out that site for the life of me, to much reading I guess. You just saved me hours of looking again "Thank you & double thank you" I had someone trying to tell me that they were beat out by hand you can see the machine made shear cuts & the only way to close up the sphere is in a press. I worked with steel in a shipyard as a fabricator reading blueprints & welding for 13 years & am very familiar with a steel shop, metal lathe & steel shears, plasma cutter (gun), air arc (air carbon arc cutting), steel press etc... so the reason why I highly doubted the "handmade theory"
