I've now learned that no one's really sure where they where made. I just went on autopilot year's ago when I was thinking German. I've heard everything from Asian made to Venetian glass. Most recently on the other marble discussion site I heard of 2 selling in 2019 for around $1700.00 each, the price has come down a bit, I got this information is from a few former owner's and other's interested in the marble's history. Who know's, still an interesting and worthwhile query. It certainly keep's my fire going!! Myself, I would be happy just to see one, always shrouded in mystery, "wait a second thought seeing one probably wouldn't be good enough" "just make me want to own one all the more".

Hello Bruce, Kalama is only 10 min. drive east of my local up the interstate. I used to fish the Kalama river all the time. Bought quite a few mib's there to, small town lot's of antique store's. Use to have a bunch of my friend's that where, and are vendor's @ what's left of the antique store's there.

Killer mib man !!! love the moss like look in the rock, remind's me of Oregon moss agate.

Living here in Washington there allot of agate's in the creek bed's, I used to collect them as a kid in Oregon when we where out catchin crawdad's or trout fishin. I have coffee can's of banded and blood agate's, that's what drew me to these. The state line (The Columbia river) is only 4 mile from my present home, and where I grew up as a kid only another 10.

Hard to find w/ this many rib's, this is my best of 17. Yes I agree a very beautiful mib.

Hello Al, "Thank's" finding the one's w/ color is getting harder, a couple of the one's I gave away had some pink similar to the one in the pic but they had a threaded look to them , the rest where all quite well colored as well, that's why I held onto them, He appreciated them much more than I did and has given me some really nice handmade's in the past so It gave me the chance to give back a little' "

Yes they are. I especially like the one's that where died blue. Wish I could run into some. I used to actually be able to tell if it was faceted or not w/ my bare hand's, but in 2004 T developed a spinal condition that left me w/ about 1/2 or less feeling in my hand's and feet, that's why I have to edit all the time because I can't tell if I hit the key or not. So if you see allot of missing letter's in the word's in my post's you know why. I try to catch them all but some slip by me.

These are my best bull's eye's, I believe 2 are old, I can't find any facet mark's on the other's no matter how hard I look still good lookin mib's. Please pay no attention to the alley's on the outside, I just put them there so they don't get knocked around.

A few pic's for now, some of my first, forgive blurriness. have some more, a few tiger eye's etc., waiting to get out into the sun @ the right time. Gave my really good one's to a close friend who collect's master, I'm just starting to acquire a new bunch. And what I believe is called a a snow globe w/ a few flecks of mica, I thought it was trapped air @ first but out in the sun it all became a clearer, + some oven brick, a little bit of everything, a dirty snow globe!!

I know the oxblood will sometime's dive in and out of the glass, I just looked @ that mib again and there's no way it's oxblood, I was just razzin you all. There may be several cat eye's w/ oxblood in them who know's. I've seen just about everything else !!!

Yeah i know, i know, only had half a worm and was seeing if I could get a bite, guess I used to big of a hook ?? In real life the color matches that of oxblood spot on. Of course I don't think they used any type of copper anything when making cat's eyes. Yeah I know, some of my first pic's I took don't look to good. They have gotten better ? I hope.

7/8th's the light does not pass through the heaviest part of what appear's to be oxblood, a beautiful cat's eye so I held onto it. I know these pic's cast a yellow orange tint but it's the bulb's I have, they suck , and so do these pic's , free hand.

The majority of pic's I have are old auction's a lot of the boxes and packaging come from mibbage's old site when Chad and Charles where selling. I'm not here to step on anyone's toe's, just to learn and have fun learning about something I have always loved. If any of the pic's I've submitted are from George Sourlis I give him full credit and did so without any foreknowledge thereof.
