  1. Thank's for clearing that mess up. Now to cram it all into my pea size brain for "uh " safe keeping !!
  2. Thank's for the clear one man, I thought I was lost again.
  3. I know what a golden dragon is, the stripe's similar to that of a flaming dragon on a yellow or golden base, I've also seen Alan's pic's and description with no apparent av. I've "heard" to be a ruby bee the marble must contain av. ?? .While I've never seen a golden dragon w/ av. I have had a few w/o in the past, just wondering if the difference between a red bee and a ruby bee have changed ??. No confusion Al, just trying to find out what the name of the mib is ?? Thank's much for your input. Here is a pic of a golden dragon sold last month on E bay, not the best example more of a flaming type, but still a golden dragon. Guess I'll just settle for somewhere in between, the ribbon on the right side of my mib is actually a little pinkish, the photo is color correct. Peltier made so many variation's of the NLR line " not to mention the bifurcated " and for that matter all there marble's, I'm happy just to have it. " Glad you brought up golden dragon's Al " The one I have pictured sold last month, not a high dollar mib but still getting harder and harder to find. This one is the exact color scheme of the two I've owned. A little more on the flaming side I know, the actual golden dragon has a more orange red hue to the ribbon's. I have some pictures of marble's from my collection I sold in 2009, there's a really nice bifurcated dragon bee and I believe a flaming golden dragon. I collected nothing but Peltier for about 10 year's, a few nice wigger's , a chocolate cow,.......... all but impossible to find nice one's now @ reasonable price's. What I received for them then was a mere pittance compared to now, I'll post a few and the actual auction price I received.
  4. Well Steph, I don't really know what to call it, it look's like what other's have called a red bee ?? Anyone have an opinion??
  5. I believe this to be a red bee ?? Any opinion is welcome. Base glass is a little on the creamy side, ( i.e. not yellow ) no av. so not a ruby bee, (second and third pic. )Interested in your opinion.
  6. A couple of almost identical alley's, the smaller of the two is a little under .50" ( Excuse the blurry pic. )
  7. @ 23/32nd's " a nice big, wet what I'm pretty sure is ( NOT ) a master w/ aventurine, a thick line on either side w/ sprinkle's of black and green av. riding along side, I also have a 5/8th's just like it w/ no av. They both look uv. but no such luck. Also look's like an Akro royal?? ( overwhelming opinion is Akro, maybe I need to quit 2nd guessing myself ?? ) I just noticed the line of oxblood on the (L) side of #1 and the bottom 3rd of #2, looked w/ a 20 x loupe against bright light, yes oxblood.
  8. Man what a score, very nice, well done, worth the early bird hour's.
  9. One of the ribbon core's i have( it's pretty scratched up) was on it's way out when I seen a glint of light in it. I pulled out my loupe and was more than surprised to find 6 or 7 good sized chunk's of mica in it. Not a common find so i'm keepin it around a while. You're right, if the sun hadn't been out I never would've seen the glint from the mica, thank's for droppin in man.
  10. I don't mean to mislead anyone in my post's. I've just been taught the wrong thing by people who thought they knew the right answer. I am grateful for this forum and a chance to learn the actual truth behind the history of theses marble's and the companies that produced them, the way's and mean's of a hobby I enjoy very much. It's to bad the glass wasn't compatible in the furnace marble's, some very beautiful marble's, I'll have to dig a little harder !!
  11. Well there's the clarification I was lookin for, at least I was in the right family of marble's. Thank you Ron.
  12. Whadya ya think mine is Al ?? fit's the description but !!
  13. I know it appear's to be air bubbles but believe me there is more than a moderate amount of av present, I'll try and get a better pic. I have aventurine in several of my joseph coat's but only in a few other handmade's.. Under mag. the av in this one is really quite heavy but very fine, "a touch of blue" present in the green stripe's only. Have mica in two of my ribbon core's but they're so scratched up that's the only reason I kept them.
  14. Well I knew it wasn't a hot heel's, hence the picture of one but I didn't know it was in the hot wheel's family, thank's cheese, I stand corrected.
  15. This mibb just barely make's 9/16th's look's to be some kinda bacon, or a near relative thereof. I couldn't capture it in the photo's but the red is a near blood red, w/ the orange stripe's also being much more prominent. It really stand's out among a bunch of other mib's. Wish I could find a good bacon, until then I am content w/ this one and the pseudo small strip on one side.
  16. Thank's for the info Ron, I knew I held onto those for a reason, I've got another beat up one some where around, will post when I find, Alley also I believe.

    Yesterday

Went to my p.c. today and halfway through the appt. passed another stone. Supposedly the last one was Sunday ??. Yes I would hope to come into agreement with you and say "that was the last one" I hope to the Lord the ordeal is over, thank you for your concern.

    Yesterday

Passed a huge stone yesterday , i was scheduled for surgery ( since the first one didn't work ), which was cancelled and after 15 day's of what i would have to consider beyond the average pain am feeling well, thank the Lord.
  19. I've had 2 of this type the other one had clear glass w/ some blue riding alongside the oxblood, same seam running down both side's, I was always told they where Akro that's why I posted, hoping to learn some history ??
  20. What a wild piece Bruce, never seen anything like it before !!
