  1. Another little project I finished last week. Before, my little Willow's base was circled with ordinary, red border stone. Decided to switch it up and give it a nice mulch bed flanked by little flower boxes 😊 My yard, roughly 75% of it, is a steady slope. Not really too steep but a steady grade nonetheless. That's how it goes when you live at the base of a hill!
  2. Front Gate too the Steam Engine Grounds at the end of South Main. Just inside the gates, Memorials dedicated to all our local men and women who served, and still serve, in the Armed Forces πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ
  3. Well, it's that time of year again...snuck down to the grounds for a sneak peek at the old Steam Engines. Hopefully the forecasted rain (60% Saturday, 70% Sunday) doesn't damper the parade so that we can't admire these Iron Horses going through Downtown 😊 It's always a spectacle too this old machinery running AND after the parade too see how they were used so many years ago! I also had a nice suprise...the 95' Jaguar I shared in the non marble related "eye candy" made a cameo appearance with the Steam Engines!
  4. I don't consider myself "Shellfish", I try not to "Mako" a "Bass" out of myself, and I "Whalecome" any good joke, whether there on me or not. I think I am feeling the traits of the Clownfish fit me at times....
  5. It's really tough too be sure, when I enlarge the pictures, too confirm if what I'm seeing is the tiny, telltale bubbles affiliated with Peltier. If only you could get some pics that were up close and in focus. I take my pictures exclusively with my phone, and there are some mibs that are tough to capture. I will find myself dancing around with the "zoom" feature, for an eternity it feels like sometimes, just too capture detail. Still sticking with Peltier, though. You still might get a few more opinions....😊
  6. Not the same, but I remember thinking about bumblebee's OP bird that started this nice thread when I flipped from July to August. Yeah, I wish I could see one too...I do get Indigo Buntings for a few weeks in the Spring though, along with some Bluebirds, Red Breasted Grosbeaks, and an occasional Scarlet Tanager. Wish these birds mentioned hung around longer than they do!
  7. I'm on the Peltier wagon for all 3 mibs too...thinking that marble #1, the color(s) just "bled" more too one side. We all probably have Pelts, maybe of this variety of Rainbo or another, with this characteristic. Just MHO...😊
  8. Had too share the bird from my calendar for the month of August, a Painted Bunting πŸ‘
  9. I'm pretty sure that's the thing with this particular bird, and not Albino. Even though she's really pale, I wouldn't call her exactly white. More like, say, a coffee creamer color. I've never been able to get close enough for a good shot too check it's eyes out, but obviously I think we all believe it should be pretty much a snow white (or darn close) too be Albino. I guess even when I realized it wasn't a true Albino, I just couldn't stop addressing it as such! I will miss it as it should be leaving soon. It did so last year in September. Who knows? Maybe it will stick around? If so, I hope she's ready for more competition because the Junco's start arriving in October!
  10. That's the other term I was trying to come up with in my head! Thanks Ann! I was trying to explain it to the girls yesterday but couldn't remember what that was called...
  11. I noticed it right away upon your return. It's a beauty...any chance of some actual pics? πŸ˜‰
  12. With her phone, which is better than mine...
  13. Can she do it...look closely and you can see that the Albino actually landed while she sits there "camouflaged"! This is crazy! Of all the birds too come back after a few minutes, that one came first!
  14. OMG 🀣🀣🀣, she's nuts!
  15. Funny!!!! This is Patty's sister's "disguise", or her camo if you will, so she can sneak up on the Albino!!! 🀣🀣🀣
  16. Got a couple more! Patty's sister is going to come over with her camera some day soon and get some super high quality pics for me...looking forward to it!
  17. A wild, wacky Pelt? IDK, just a guess, even though some things don't particularly seem right for a Pelt? more butter....
