-
Egg yolk ox patch???

That is a great looking marble. Vitro’s are another one where the varieties are endless.
-
Looks like 2 marbles put together. No idea on that one!
-
Yes, comet is the name Master gave them. Akro has some similar as well.

So my station in stages… First pic: old inventory and recent buys get sorted by manufacturers usually late at night after work or day off…. Second pic: marbles graduate to the sizing table and photo desk where I decide to either sell ‘‘em or keep them in jars , on boards, or find new display cases. Third pic: or if they are extra special to a display case

I love this pic, my wife is not happy with me the way the house looks every time I have to do sorting. I have to go through my sorted ones today..will take a pic!
-
Thanks! was thinking Alley or Heaton, like ‘‘em either way.
-
So still stumped, but I’m going with Alley here, exact name who knows! But I like it.

Ha, I hear ya. I started collecting handmades in the mid 80’s…..machine mades except for CAC or Popeyes were second fiddle. So my small collection and my dads large collection was heavily leaning handmades. They were quick and easy to ID as well…However, we also had gallons and gallons of machine mades we bought at antique stores, shows because of the looks and because of what my dad remembered playing with as a kid. There were no books, nothing on machine mades….Grist touched on them and Castle as well in their books, but Nothing like today. But honestly I’m still sorting my machine mades after a few years off and still have difficulty with these damn WV swirls. ….even with all of todays bells and whistles.

The solid opaques and Melonballs(highly underrated mibs)were the first handmade I collected years ago when I was a kid, usually lazy dealers would have them mixed in with the machine mades…..so I usually made out. The banded opaques I just love. These are my keepers.

These were found together in the jar, kinda bacony. The 1st one is just over 7/8 the next one is 5/8. Pics are 4 of each. Had a hard time photographing these.

Picked these up in a jar outside of Pittsburgh with a bunch of Alleys, Ravenswoods and cats… I’m thinking they look European, any ideas? I don’t know Jabos…..I’ve got a few I will be posting that I’m not sure on, any help appreciated!

Cool looking marble, but completely stumped! At first I thought Pelt, but those colors have me wondering.

Not a score, just wondering if anyone was checking out Blocks Auction tonight? Saw some interesting high dollar sales….and some nice memorabilia -

I'm leaning Master..looks like a couple brushed patch style, maybe a sunburst, but need to see them a lil closer.

A beautiful Master.

Akro? lost my caliper!!! size looks to be .65 UV active.
Akro75 replied to Gladys's topic in Marble I.D.'s
I thought the same thing, I would consider it a sparkler if it had a few more colors. However, I remember seeing an original box of sparklers and some didn't quite look so colorful, maybe 3 colors tops. -
Back with 3 keepers. "Cornhusk".which I love.....an Indian with loads of adventurine especially in the green glass between the 2 white ribbons, and one that I always considered a gooseberry, though it has one stray ribbon trying to get to the center..so who knows.
