  1. There is no a black SUV that I cannot out run and if it comes to that--I will pull out my lightsaber--just for defense of course😁. Marble--On!!
  2. The images do not show the cutmarks enough for me to make a call. The size is also an important factor. Marble--On!!
  3. The first image still has me guessing after looking at all of the images. I have studied Vacor vs Peltier for years now---50-50 imho, I do not see any AV present in the images but I will lean towards a Pelt here. Let’s get to the real guts of this post--the "Greycoat". This one is what I would call a “tweener”—in-between a Pelt “Liberty” and a Pelt “Greycoat”. "Greycoats" are known to have an opaque grey color, this one does not show that imho. @IowaMarble and @Chad G. may have better opinions of this one, they are my go-to for rare Pelt info. It is a nice marble--not too common for sure. Marble--On!!
  4. Second image—top left—may be an “Aqua Marine”, weak imho but true. I agree that you have a few “Buttermilks” involved here. Size is always a matter to consider and I see them as 5/8". Vitro have so many names involved that @Ric may have to sort these out. I agree with @Fire1981—all Vitro. Nice group!!! Marble—On!!
  5. They all have CAC attributes for sure. If these came from an “older” collection there are bound to be a few Alley Agates involved. I remember back when the Alley “Pistachio” was considered to be a valuable CAC. The diggers such as @Ric and @cheese blew this idea away. Image three—lower right—not too sure about that one. The “Snotty” thing—well I have never held one or seen one in person and I have always thought of these as a classic example of a named marble—give them a name and everyone wants one—not me—I do like the name though, no opinion here. The yellow slag is the very best slag ever made imho—I just love them. Yours is one imho—just not the best—but very cool to see. A little more white and this one would take off! Thanks for showing them all! Marble—On!!
  6. That is a good question, they are so similar that it barks and does not want to sit down.(sit boy--sit!!đŸ¶lol) I had a big problem with back filling a "Prizename" box of 100 quite a few years back. The b/w,w/b marbles were mostly there and I needed three or four. You would think that a simple B/W Corkscrew would not be the hardest to find but it was--something just did not look right, you know what I mean? I purchased many of what I thought were what I needed and failed miserably. I always want to match not just the glass color but the uv reaction as well, all of the glass involved. I do not believe to this day that I have researched or looked at any other marble as much as a B/W.W/B Akro Corkscrew--what a trip into Akro Agate marbles and the construction--I just love this stuff--really I do! I am getting too old to remember which was the hard one to find but I think that it was white on black,(I may have a few images though it will not help) The cutlines are the thing here--good luck--I was mesmerized by a simple corkscrew design, they are more complicated than anyone may think. Marble--On!!
  7. I agree with Boris64-- Akro Agate Aqua slag’s do not grow on trees--nice find--a real beauty. The "B" marble is a tuff one but it does remind me of a Master Made Marble. Nice hard, well cooked glass that takes a beating. Master Made Marbles are known for this in my experience with them. The Cat-eye is just a—well---not too special Cat, ho hum imho, I find these in my garden and keep them but that is a different thing really—like exploration and keeping what you find in the garden. Marble--On!!
  8. The bottom two on the right may just be Champion.( I just like to throw in Champion once in awhile--I am far from a WVS expert) When I see marbles like the top seven with bright white included, I think Ravenswood, size matters as well. All makers used glass cullet (purchased from another glass maker) but Ravenswood used a lot of "recipe glass"--or glass made from scratch. The bright white in these marbles is a good indicator of recipe glass. Marble--On!!
  9. "Snuck in there" is not a term for a collection that was purchased--mis-informed or mis-identified or wishfull thinking is what I would call it. We are all guilty of this in the world of collecting---anything as far as that will go. That "Silver" collection is just great! There are a few oddballs in the rest but a great find no doubt. Marble--On!!
  10. Yes--Ravenswood marbles are commonly associated with Brown and White or a variation—cream color. The size makes a difference in these ID’s. Ravenswood made more 9/16” marbles than anyone else. Plenty of makers made colors similar to these. The streams of the glass and cutoffs also apply. Cheese nailed this one! Marble—On!!
  11. The deep blue and the deep white set this one off. Nice find! Marble--On!!
  12. The Original Post is a Jabo. Nice find--nice post! These can be a hard ID with images sometimes. Marble--On!!
  13. X2--but a very nice one. Akro will show "Flames" but not in this case. I appreciate all opinions and hope to see some more--------- Marble--On!!
  14. The odd ball thing is right--great marble---great find---enough said. MK is the final answer for sure. Marble--On!!
  15. Hello Penny and welcome to "TheMarbleConnection". Your field of expertise is a niche collectable as most collectable marbles are. To find one that is an expert in clays marbles is rare and unexpected. There are many “contemporary” glass marble makers—Way too many imho. To find one that does clay is a revelation. Everyone has their favorites and the clay field has not been a big collectable market in the last few years imho, not enough made and not enough to find. Let’s not confuse these “Clays” with the Polymer marbles that we are all familiar with. Clay marbles are a far more involved process that involves far more work and artistic knowledge, let alone the equipment involved. I have a few “contemporary” clays that include some from Nadine and I purchased these only in her memory. (Bless her Soul “The laborer's appetite works for him/her”) I wish that I knew you by name but I do not. I was never a big one to attend shows. The collection that you show is a great example of a contemporary field that few are involved with in today’s market. It should be involved imho because of the amount of time and labor (love, passion) involved for the marbles that are produced. Feel free to add any addresses that these marbles may be purchased from because I am sure that many will want to get some into the collections that they now own. Marble—On!!
  16. OK, enough said--😁. I just click on "activity" and I do not miss much--if anything. I suppose that a "following" is an honor to be considered. I never followed anyone here, I just check everyone out because everyone has something to add. Marble--On ALL!!
  17. Nice Girl Scout for sure Melissa! The "Blizzard" is a new one for me, thanks for sharing it. Marble--On!!
  18. Here is the thing; these finials are easily interchanged---marble wise. Never sell them as original—who knows? If you are looking to sell these, include these facts. I have a pair that I purchased years ago but I sure will not say that the marbles are original. You can put any marble in these things if the size is right. Mine pair are both 1” Akro Agate corkscrews and I paid what the corks were worth. Heck, a Vacor may find the way into these just for kicks or a nice one good sided marble of any vintage for that matter in the right size. The only one that I have that looks “original” to me is a nice deep ocean blue ”Clearie”. It is on the neck of an old “Bridge lamp” (I put it there). My finials are of the same design as yours on the upper left image, the longer necked one. This is my thinking because of the different styles of the finials—these are not original. My opinion is that these are a later model swirl in both finials. Jabo imho. I posted images below, one is a "hanger" or pull type. Marble—On!!
  19. I chuckle to myself everytime I see the Dutch word for marbles. Keep it going my overseas marble collecting friend--great stuff! Marble--On for sure!!
  20. $20 for two Superman--plus--killer find--! Now figure out if there are any B/W corkscrews--or W/B corkcrews--alway a chore for sure---but fun none-the-less. Nice shoes too. Marble--On!!
  21. Try some UV light on this one---- Marble--On!!
  22. Hold on folks! I think that the initial ID was a good one--it fooled me for a minute. This is why we ask for multiple images--good job all !! Marble--On!!
