  1. Rainbo X3 Just catching up here Marble--On!!
  2. These are WVS more than likely Alley Agate. Marble--On!!
  3. Me too--awwwwhh-marble buddies--I love it. Maybe Alan does not love it so much--- "Fellow Collectors" fits even better. There are a whole bunch of newer ones and fewer and fewer of the older ones---marble collectors. @Alan does well, and I do know that he holds back on you less experience collectors. Respect Alan as you should all of the older collectors here and be rewarded with a whole lot of past knowledge. Marble--On!!
  4. This is a tuff thing to do, explain Handmades to a new collector. The handmades shown, as far as I am concerned, are all nice examples--just not quite round which is a thing with collectors of this type. I will have to step out here on this conversation because--well, I collect machine mades and a few handmades. When I started collecting, all handmades were out of my league. Lets keep this conversation going and lets keep it nice. I just love this stuff. The sharing of long lost info compared to the new opinions that are "out there" on the web. Marble--On!!
  5. This is a hard one--it appears to be a veneered type. Dug MK/Vitro is my call. All opinions are appreciated Marble—On!!
  6. This one is a german--nuf said. Marble--On!!
  7. This one is a Vacor imho. Marble--On!!
  8. Yes, a Popeye, but a weak one imho. Glass colors do not mix together--at least in my humble experience. I would love to see it in hand--oh well. This is just my opinion below. Black in glass was either made from blue, purple, green or brown (maybe a few others were involved). There were a few Black recipes but they are very rare. This one looks like it got too hot and the blue was burned. Call it a burned blue and yellow Popeye. I always appreciate all opinions and hope to see some more Marble--On!!
  9. @Nantucketdink will have a better opinion of these than the rest of us imho. I agree with the assumption of Jabo classics--but these may have been a "Special Run". You have to list the size here. ( they look like 5/8" to me) Marble--On!!
  10. This is another one of those Pesky Imperials that we are all growing to love. This is a nice one! Another version though. Thanks for showing it. Marble--On!!
  11. I would call this one a Marble King--just me, and I always appreciate more opinions Great find!! I can tell that you are looking very closely. Marble--On!!
  12. Wow, still a nice post that you bought back to life Tommy. Oxblood is not a thing--it is a passion. Here are some that I have.
  13. Thanks for your efforts here. Out of respect for your efforts, I did my own cropping and I added a bit of light as well. I would love to see some more of the bottom right in the bottom image. Nice bright clear images--cropped well. Marble--On!!

    Shot type

Shot type is not a good header--Clays, along with a size id would be much better. Any lead or steel type shot would be able to be recognized by the weight of the marble/orb in hand. These are simple clays that are very hard to ID as far as the maker or where they came from. I like them and over the years I have found these in "Lot's" of marbles". Nothing goes to waist in my house--my wife loves them as do many folks for a "Decorator item"--many kept in a small glass jar mixed with some other does make a great display. Marble--On!!
  15. Well you never heard this from me before--but those are not Akro colors (ya never know do ya). The construction of the one gets my vote for Vitro. Marble--On!!
  16. X2-- Marble--On!!

    Imps

Yes foriegn Cato-- Imperial was a marble/toy company on the west coast that bought and resold many items including marbles--we in the marble collecting community call one such as them "Jobbers". ( did I ever here a reason why they are called this--nope--maybe @Alan knows or anyone else that wants to chime in) The marbles that Imperial purchased were included by country in most of thier packaging--thankfully but what a thing to dechipher. Many many countries can be found listed including Mexico. Hope this helps! Marble--On!!
  18. I agree Tommy but these long culines point me towards Vitro--on the fence again--ouch🤢. Marble--On!!
  19. I would love to see it for one. Yours is an Indian--I hate to say plain ole Indian because Indians have a cool factor with me. This one I would consider as a cool ole Indian. Luvv em. Marble--On!!
  20. When you post images you must consider the different sides of the marble. We almost all like to see the cutmarks of the marble. This would be a thin line where one color ends on another color in many cases. The ID given on these marbles would be guesses by me. We need to see at least two opposite sides to make a proper ID. Keep them to three or four per image, keep the images sharp and crop well. Thanks for showing up here at TheMarbleConnection and if I did not welcome you before--Welcome. Marble--On!!
  21. Ummm, I am thinking Vitro here. More opinions are needed though. Marble--On!!
  22. Pretty cool find. Chalkie works for me. Marble--On!!
  23. Yep--an Alley. This one looks like it sat at the bottom of a coffee can for a while. You can clean it up or leave it alone as far as I am concerned. I love this old “found stuff’. Marble—On!!
