I agree! Marble--On!! I agree! Marble--on!! Sometimes things may go unexplained with marbles and the way that they were constructed. I worked on some antique machines making rivets in my younger days. The weather could affect the way that the machines performed. Adjust, adjust, adjust, then adjust some more. That is why we made the money. My first reaction to this marble--The OP-- was Vitro. Just a "gut thing". I want them all to be Akro--but what fun would that be? Ric and Cheese have the "gut thing" going--mine are just starting to rumbleđ¤˘. Marble--On!!

Here is a very âmintyâ Vitro with a nice band of Oxblood. You just never know where the Ox will show up do you? I will just call it a âConquerorâ with oxblood. Very coolâ@11/16â. MarbleâOn!!

Very nice crashbelt. Is that a deck of cards? Patience #190? would love to see a closeup of some of them. Marble--On!!

Not this one. I actually have a marble someplace that was attracted to a magnet. I am thinking that it was a slag with a shiny bit of debris in it. Ya just never know until you try it-- Marble--On!!

Great idea Ric, Tator Lady does sound a bit "dowdy". I do not know if "Lady Tator" shouts "refined". I sure do like the name though. I am glad to hear that you had a part in this. There are many named marbles, this is the best name ever imho and by far one of the best Alley Agates that I have ever held. Thanks for all that you do/have done. Marble--On!!

Akro made some pretty sparse looking marbles in the later years. Especially the bigger ones. I am comfortable with Akro here. Marble--On!!

This one is a Vitro Fire--no doubt in my mind. All Red?? Marble--On!!

Here is my best WVS--imho. In honor of @wvrons and all of the folks that were or will be digging in West Virginia, what a great passion along with endless, thoughtless sharing for sure. What a great service you have all supplied to the marble collecting community. I appreciate all of your efforts and the info that you have shared. I really dig the names that you âdiggerâ folks come up with. This one just makes me wiggle a bitâI just love the nameâthe marble is not too shabby either. Lady Tatorâreally?? Who else but the âKings/ Queensâ of Diggersâ could come up with this name? I love itâjust love it. Thanks to you all!! WVS on!! MarbleâOn !!

Vitro sure made a bunch of different patterns over the years. I am stymied on what to call this one other than Vitro. Nice marble!! Marble--On!!

You did well Jeff54 for only five boxesđ. There are some very nice ones there. Master Glass is often overlooked--you have to do a lot of picking but they are there to find. Made in the USA--- Nice stuff! Thanks for sharing these. Marble--On!!

I agree. I did not even want to go to the Vacor website with this one. Nice call Chad! Nice marble Fire! Nice clear glass in this one! Marble--On!!

Here is a fun one. If you do not backlight your marbles, well, get on with it. This one may be a Ravenswood @5/8"--or?? I appreciate all opinions. Backlight them all!!! Marble--On!!

This is where I got Cairo stuck in my head--I put it there a few years back with this post. https://marbleconnection.com/topic/27729-cairo/#comment-240082 It is similar to the OP just not similar enough. I have not seen another like it. Ron straightened me out with this one. Marble--On!!

Vacor "Ladybug" imho. Marble--On!!

Wow--the blue is intense on that one Chad--nice marble! I have a favorite Image of a blueblood, the blue is usually a bit darker and most of the time the ox is covered by it. Sometimes not. Marble--On!!

I am no Guru. I can tell you this Much about your "Whopper" though. The big ones do not behave like the smaller siblings do. I would not fancy calling this one a Conqueror. Trilite would be my choice. It is a nice marble! Marble--On!!

I agree with Alley Agate--I know most of the big ones. Nice marble! Marble--On!!

Akronaut would be the correct spelling. I agree on the Jabo ID. The Corkscrew--no oxblood--not a blueblood. If I had a row of ten I would call it a "Prizename". By it self--a really nice corkscrew. That is always enough for me. Marble--On!!

Always Steph, with the patches. Marble--On!

This one appears to be an Akro---"Cornelian". (not CARnelian) Rare and hard to get a good image of. They appear to be quite Opaque in hand--like a "Brick". Back-light them and they will reveal themselves, They are semi-opaque. These were called âBricksâ by the olderâreally older collectorsâeven older than meâlol. Here are a few better images that I haveâmost were dug as far as I know. They came in many shades of red from deep almost oxblood looking to a more red-ish that we all know. They were boxed and sold by Akro as Cornelian-they were the mostly more red varietyâwith a bit of whiteâthey looked like an opaque slag. There may be more names for theseâI just call them Corneliansâall of them. MarbleâOn!!

That is Chad for sure--- Marble on Bro!!
