  1. Wait - are you looking for era photos of kids playing - or photos of GIs playing?
  2. Soak them in water for a week or two before attempting removal. The metal corrosion can and will act as an abrasive as it is removed.
  3. Its 5/8". Its from an Akro Salesman's case (pulled to photo).
  4. If you back your camera up a bit - it should come into focus.
  5. My first take on it is that it is a modern Dragonfly. The colors seem a bit too bright and the base doesn't look white with a thin veneer to me. It is a bit jumbled from either type.
  6. Do the poles match? It looks like they do.
  7. Handle it at shows. Nothing beats in-person experience - especially seeing the varied types. Photos on the Internet can't compare.
  8. I sorely miss Bill Murray in the art. A great, humble guy and an innovative artist. I enjoy his work even more than the days that I bought it. Mike ripped me off for $500 cash - straight and simple theft. He still owes me that $500 and went through great lengths to avoid my emails, calls and contacts. I have not forgotten - and will not. His GF of the time told me what was going on. People should consider themselves forewarned. He is the only person in the hobby that ever stole from me.
  9. There is amazing diversity among artists. Buy what you love for your own reasons. Meet the artists and ask about how they made the piece - their work will mean more to you.
  10. There is is "UV reactive" - and then there is UV "POP!". It depends upon the piece. There are "UV" Popeyes - and then there are a few Vaseline Popeyes which are nice and HTF. Akro Lemonades and Limeades are based on eye appeal. Some UV pieces practically glow without UV.
