  1. From another thread where this was in question, here are better images. It was best to move on instead of piling up and making the other thread confusing and hard to follow. I think its a Vitro but surely could be wrong. I was hoping it was a Parrot. It sure is a pretty one. The glass just has that older look and feel to it but it has very little to no play wear. One of my favorites, no matter what it is. Thank you!
  2. I think they could very well be Vacor, they appear to have the same glass as "Firefly" but prsent here as a cats eye. Very nice models. How long have you had these?
  3. I will take some pictures of that smallest one, Akroorka and Ric, in a little while. I will be posting 4 new ID topics elsewhere in just a little bit. To continue in this thread will get messy. X2
  4. Thank you Ric! I will take pictures later today and post a couple new threads on these in ID section later today. Awesome information. I am catching on here. The Bullseyes need interior glass with filaments like a Phantom Conqueror. I looked more closely at them after finding this reply and there appears to be clear glass inside only on the yellow ones. Totally understand this now. Thanks again!
  5. Thank you for looking and responding Melissa. I am pretty happy to have sorted these a ways back from mixed lots and getting almost all correctly ID-ed for myself as Vitro Agate.
  6. I will take your word for it Stephen. I shall continue to study. Thank you sir. Looking at the other images and comparing, it appears I missed the difference between a solid opaque pole and the brushed pole maybe? I bet backlighting would prove this. Right?
  7. Me too! I found I had 18 I think. I have watched that video 8 times already by now. Todays rediscovery.
  8. Thanks to Stephen Behr's most recent video on yoooo tooob Vitro Bullseyes I learned a bit more about Vitros and di find I had 18. One has a light brown color surrounding the green pole. ( Bottom left , first picture ) which might be unusual ) Top left has been in a scuffle but still collectible. These 10 have a yellow ring around the colored pole, which are maybe a bit harder to find than the red shown in pic 1. Most all of these in this post are in great shape. . . . . round LATE EDIT: However, these below with the yellow have brushed color and do not make the cut. I like them very much but it has been suggested that these are not Bullseyes below. Those above are. I have a bunch more but I think that I have al kinds mixed in with my Vitro collection. Tomorrow is another day. Thanks to all who looked and added to this little thread with your time and posts.
  9. Here's the Opals meh bee? One is shown earlier above, that funky one that Fire asked about. No glamor shot, just looking for the orange glow on the Lego floor which they do seem to have that characteristic.
  10. Here's 12 Tiger Eyes I think, not sure if the shooters are. I think they are TY 1 except the one under the shooter has no white pole so I think that is TY 2 Tiger Eye. They are in pretty nice shape, the one shooter has seen active duty.
  11. I came across these pretty marbles but I don't even know if they are Vitro. I had my fingers crossed for a Parrot or something The one on the far left is 11/16th No white shows, it has two yellow patches a light green and a red patch and they meet nicely on each pole. Almost all these marbles appear to me to be pretty old if not all.
  12. Thanks Akro, It has been a Vitrorious day. I got some pictures of some Bullseyes and Tiger Eyes coming up and I think I have found 6 Opals.
  13. I found a few others in different color combos that are of same construction. They are hanging out together with similar kinds between my All Reds and Black Lines keeping the peace.
  14. I think this is the one and yes, it is certainly unusual. It is an Opal perhaps, held to light it is somewhat fire orange. The outer surface under the purple patch is kind of yellow and it turns more white toward the opposite pole. The condition is quite nice. Thank you
  15. It is 5/8 and I am not sure but I picked it out and took some pictures this morning. I have other Vitros it is with and the colors look an awful lot the same. Thanks for looking and commenting Fire!
  16. Yes, I will get around to pulling the Opals (if I can find them) later. I took a group picture of the Pincers I guess. A couple I did not include even though the colors were right on with these shown below, They just didn't have the same seams and looked a lot more Vitro to me for now. Is there any value in Japanese Pincers? I think I have some others elsewhere but I on this right now. Thank you for the time and interest you took in my project!
  17. I had them in with All Reds. They seemed to have the same structure but that was quite a bunch of marbles ago when I put them in that frame. Now I am stumped but this should be easy for somebody and well, my head kinda hurts. I need to hit the hay. Good night and thanks.
  18. Going through my trays of what I thought were mostly all Vitros, I see I probably have quite a few others mixed in. After watching the Stephen Bahr video a few times, I had to look and see if I had some Bullseyes. I think I found a few but while I was in there, I tried to make two groups to separate. I also ended up with a third pile that I think might be tweeners. Some have a vacant area below the colored patch on top, it is transparent in that area. That is not another color. I'll be posting about other Vitros in the near future. I may be catching on. LOL But for now, how did I do (generally)? Thank you! Vitro Conquerors ( The white colored glass is only on the surface ) Vitro Phantom Conquerors ( There is white colored glass that goes into the glass and has obvious striations as well as on the surface )
  19. Thank you Stephen. Watched it a few times. I am glad that you made this video. I have a couple hundred Conqueror type Vitros and this was so helpful sub catagorizing them. I think I might have a few of the good ones, well they are all good but I might have some VHTF ones. You have a neat job that you can cart your marbles around the office at work. I can say that this kind of educational video really simplified things and that I am pretty confident in sorting through my Vitros now.
  20. I am going to call this Super Jumbo Boulder "BIG MP" It looks to have pretty much the same pattern and some of the colors as the "Police Officer" model. Since it's green instead of bluish gray I think it is fitting. Hey, I'm having fun here but I also like to keep a spreadsheet of Mega Marbles, how any I have I have and where they are located in my collection.
  21. Some nice finds Joe! I have made a whole 24 + 1 net bag of these no named patch marbles from assorted net bags and named them (for myself) Blue Whales. I worked up my own tag but I had to put a solid same color blue shooter in with them for now. My tag
  22. Looks like some kind of foil or metallic ribbon on transparent green. Welcome. Bon Jour!
  23. some may not remember Phyllis Diller
  24. I am a fan of Marble King and Oct/Nov has been good to me, a couple marble friends and trades and sales have even been better yet. In this group are some cross through cats, blended Girl Scouts and my first ever Girl Scout. ( I'll never forget my first Girl Scout ) A pretty cool wasp, Bumblebee Shooter and a pair of nice players to go with it. Perhaps a hybrid anemic bee there. Some nice tri color rainbows, maybe one has 4 colors on the left. That pink patched one glows bright under UV and I am told that very one came right off the ground at Marble King and commented on by Beri Fox to my friend the finder. I see some aventurine in there on one. Some Rainbow Reds, an Irish or maybe even two, a blue Rainbow with perhaps that Kato patch. This group gives my MK collection a little boost for sure. Thanks for looking!
