  1. I just hope that like the ones you made me they never leave your home or whom evers home they go to.
  2. RRM are Richs" Re- Melts. Speedy, don't be too speedy.
  3. I had to do a double take to figure out what was poking out of the small pumkin hole
  4. Unless they were dug I doubt very much they were sold by the company that advertised "The Most Perfectly Formed Marbles" There are some examples very similar to these that came out of the ground at Peltier
  5. Come on Griff. You sure you don't have an old crank phone in your boat?
  6. It would, Missed that. Not seeing any hand gathering. But some of the pelt solids are pretty swirly
  7. I believe the patterns are from a cloth when being made and the balls are ceramic of some sort.
  8. I hope not, but in some of the views it does look like some hand work may have been done at one time. Fantastic Marble!!!
  9. Cerise Agates Rock! That would be many folks favorite! I have to say the CAC Pastel box of 2 seamers is still my favorite although the recently purshased Glass Ball Mosaic is pretty sweet. I also really like the original box of German 2 seam slags and the Vitro box with the rows of transparent translucent. The stained Ravenswood box will have to do until I can replace that minty one I sold.
  10. Nice group Chuck. I have had most all of them and a few others!
  11. That Blue Bee is still one of the best!!!!
  12. I am speaking only of the certian types of Rainbos. I have never seen the translucent that turns transparent when back lighted in a NLR marble. I do think the chocolate cows are a variety of the red-brown color. not at all like the Muddy rainbos
  13. I had a handful of the brown base that were what many called the Muddy. They became a nice almost transparent glass when back lighted. There are several other neat translucent Pelt bases that do the same trick. I believe they were made that way, but who knows, I have been wrong before, that's for sure.
  14. not mine but I have always enjoyed this pic
  15. I think buffed and polished or altered in any way marbles that are sold with out disclosing much much worse
  16. I believe I saw those marbles and they appeared to have original surfaces??? Sure would like to get another look. And no matter what, they will make it right.
  17. There are hundreds of marbles repaired this way in a lot of Old timers collections that have no idea they were repaired. I run across them at Shows more often than you would think. Many are done so well that without the black light it is very very hard to detect unless you have really really good eye sight. I would imagine many have been sold on Ebay that no note of the repair was mentioned. Many that get taken seem to think it is Okay to pass on the problem.
