  1. I miss the 50 Olds Rocket 88 with the 4 speed hydromatic transmission and I really miss the 69 Coupe Deville But the title of the thread makes me think most about a girl named KIm
  2. As a founding member of Name Haters Anonymous I can not endorse the use of the name Euroburst. But I do have to admit it has a nice ring to it!
  3. Hope all is well and that you do not set off the metal detectors at the Airport.
  4. Sweet Euros for sure. As to what to call them maybe they deserve their own name. Like Akro Sparklers or Master Sunsets. Did I really just type that?
  5. Why thanks Bob, even a blind squirrel finds a nut on occasion
  6. Beautiful prose for sure. Bet he wouldn't use the word prose(LOL)
  7. You are correct Andrea, but it was another lost cause(lol). It is really hard to prove it is, or is not, "True" oxblood glass or not. I do still believe only the German makers, MFC and Akro actually made and used Oxblood glass on purpose. And while much "Accidental" oxblood glass shows up, Alley especially, I believe it was all just accidental occurances. And maybe someday we will even find out Alley did make it.

  9. Many of the repro medals are investment castings done in wax and investment material.(similar to plaster of paris). How you doing Scott?
  10. IMO it is an obviously back filled box.
  11. Just to let every one know Brian has nothing to do with these ebay sales or grading them. So must be someone that can't see and lost their glasses.
  12. You are correct. Missed the missing metal and gaps. Definitely both new In my new opinion ( lol)
  13. If he got a big collection to sell I wonder how many hundreds they will put in one auction. I wonder if it will be enough to drive marble prices even lower? I do not support Morphy in any way, any more. IMO he has hurt the marble hobby more than anyone ever has by having way too many marbles for sale in the auctions. And many many folks I have talked to feel the same way. A good friend of mine gave them his premium CACs to sell and asked they not be included in any sale with a lot of CACs. Well they got put in the last auction. He was very unhappy about the whole deal.
  14. Definitely not a Rootbeer Float. As to what it is ?????
  15. here is my German Striped Transparent. I believe it is slightly newer than the 2 seam slag types
  16. William, the dark spots are probably dirt filled holes if you look at all the damage that easily shows along the right edge of the marble in the first pic. IMO that marble is not even NM. And as Jeroen points out on the sulphide why put MAY HAVE BEEN BUFFED when the sharp edged bubble pops are fairly obvious signs it was IMO. Andd yet they still rate it 9.7. Why rate it if they think it has been buffed??????$$$$$$
  17. Did any one look at this marbles condition before writing the add. http://www.ebay.com/itm/5-8-COBALT-BLUE-GUINEA-CHRISTENSEN-MARBLE-/360773520271?pt=Marbles&hash=item53ffc70b8f
