  3. I believe the marble the post is about is Modern.

  6. That is one of the most outstanding Boards I have had the pleasure of viewing.
  7. Darnit, wish I had a pic of the hundred dollar point and shoot you had in Seattle(LOL)And great hints!
  8. Winnie, the box never made me smile until it had marbles in it The small guinea is actually an amber leaning to the reddish side.
  9. It definitely may be a reaction with the soil.
  10. Sorry Rich, you are wrong there is no debate. You are the only person on the face of the earth that believes what you do."IMO"
  11. Put this box together today. It made me smile. You can click on pics.
  12. when giving sizes and I use a + or - it means it is ever so slightly over or under the measurement I use. And I usually break it down to at least 32nds. I will have to see how I list a marble with ebay as I still have never sold one on the bay
  13. Still waiting for Rich to answer the earlier direct question with a direct answer. Do you consider the marbles you made with CAC glass CACs, or do you consider the marbles you made with Alley glass Alley marbles,?
  14. Rich, you are avoiding giving a direct answer to a direct question. And no way is that a good comparison. More realistic is If I grind up and melt down the metal parts from an old ford and make new nissan parts with it. is it a Ford? I think not. Or if I take Fenton cullet and make marbles with it on a machine at Jabo, are they Fenton marbles, I think not. Or as some believe, We take Akro cullet and make marbles at the Alley factory from the cullet they sure as heck are not Akro marbles, are they. Sorry but those are not CAC marbles in any way shape or form.
  15. there is the possibility that the patterns are from a fossilized coral.
  16. You must always heat(melt} the whole marble when doing a repair. and yes it effects the pontils.
  17. Beautiful. But looks real similar to some newer types.
  18. Bet I could in hand:). So what do we call marbles made by Jabo with German glass?
  19. I would be willing to bet and give you odds that they are man made if the pattern is in the surface of the balls. I would also pay you to smash one with a hammer. The one with out the patterns may be a different story.
