  1. I like Vitro Helmets.here is my unique Black stripe. and a few others
  2. I have often seen them called Champagne Base. Not to uncommon
  3. Very old pottery type marbles Big John. Or a canned pudding found at specialty or import stores here in the USA
  4. I am leaning Vitro on the greenies. All the similar green patch type that I know for a fact were Akro had much straighter patches. Definitely still guessing
  5. God Bless all our Vets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. Yes I would like 4 more lets talk. And I believe they are the earliest and rarest of all CACs. These are the types made before the gob feeders went in. The same progression happened at Akro and Peltier and probably other marble factories around the world
  7. To have found this amazing amount of spectacular CAC handgathered opaques
  8. Lost the shovel into the mix that day
  9. Who can say any of the old Roman glass balls were used for playing any games that we would consider marble games.
  10. California cities are covered in Liquid Ambers. It is one of our most common older city planted trees
  11. Or something made of metal happened to get mixed into the blue glass one run.
  12. Ebay didn't do anything but let people know that the believed rarity of many items was no were near reality. I miss a few of the antique stores and flea markets I used to go to but I now also know I used to way over pay for many items. Heck I remember when any German handmade in an antique store had at least a $30.00 price tag on it.
  13. New Old Vintage Marbles, Really? Come on David, your better than that.
  14. I think that is a shade of Amber, The true CAC peach slags are actually a beautiful pink
  15. Many(if not most) ebay bidders also use a sniping program so early bids are rarely a good idea of what the sale will end at. To me it just means the bidder on the one marble does not know about sniping programs
  16. Neat seeing anything that uses American marbles from other countries!
  17. good deal! they are all starting to look fake to me
  18. I will there fore be as clear as possible. I have never seen a 2 seam CAC with out an S shape or wild looping at at least one end of the marble between the ends of the seams. I will not say that there are no CACs in existence that have straight lines on both sides. Just very highly unlikely to find one according to the hundreds (if not thousands ) of the CACs I have examined. I am still as confused as always but I hope you are less confused. Have a great weekend. Its BBQ time
  19. Getting sick of the ridiculous stories. Torch workers throwing marbles on the ground?? (LOL)
  20. I have never seen a real original Guinea with the same color spots on both sides of the seam like a spot was cut with scissors
  21. Torch work as are some others he has for sale IMO. See Coolest Akro thread
