  1. With a 100,000 opening bid I wonder what the listing fees were?? Or are they the same no matter what opening price is?
  2. Good call on the reversing of the imprint.
  3. The fact that it is an American coin in negative relief really says fake to me. The real coin sulfides are positive reliefs made from molds. Not a quarter pressed into some clay.
  4. Good thread Scott. Lets hope we can get some posters. These are what I still have. I really like the light blue and the bubbly ghost cores.
  5. Great info, Love learning something new!!!
  6. Looks like something a Mom made out of some pajama material. Looked like some good marbles were in there for sure.
  7. you may want to do a search on Gremlin. (Top Right above)
  8. Having never seen one like that The bled out black looks strange to me. I wouldn't bank any money on it being old.
  9. Probably not but I am checking on flying in and out Sat.
  10. I would definitely agree, Contemp with a neat bubble(ghost)core
  11. Take a 1/2 inch marble and lay it beside another 1/2 inch marble now imagine how many more 1/2 marbles it would take to get that 1 inch into the shape of a sphere. That made it a little easier to imagine for me. Also I looked at how many marbles are packed into a glass globe I have and it is a whole lot more than I imagined would fit.
  12. The bag alone would easily garner the price the auction is at now. I wouldn't doubt if it goes in the 100 dollar range. They are very HTF
  13. Not very much IMO. Not having the pazazz of the sought after CACs their value singly, like most of the CAC transparent swirls remains very low. I might give 5 bucks for one but thats about it. Of course I am cheap(LOL)
  14. The marble most well known as a Chocolate Ox is a Patch
  15. Never have said they are not pretty. Not the ones you pointed out Mike. There are 2 CACs. And no they are not(Exotics) which I believe all are seamed marbles. Both of these are swirls. And how in the world can the Jabos possibly be rarer than CACs???????????Who in the world is the we that believe these are rarer than CACs??? In the last 10 shows I have been to I have seen fewer than 30 mint 3/4" CAC swirls. In just the last show alone I saw thousands of mint new run Jabos. IMO That statement continues to be rediculous. Just saying it doesn't make it true. We are not talking about how many were made, it is how many are currently out there. Unless someone has proof of cases of CACs in folks garages. Oh wait, thats the Jabos. Take a poll at any time and ask how many 3/4" mint CACs anyone has. Ask the same of the Jabos. Does anyone really believe there are more CACs out there??????I would be willing to bet you could poll every marble collector possible ask how many mint CACs they have(of any type) and it would come to even a small percentage of just the last run done at Jabo.
  16. Guaranteed, there is more than one CAC in the group.
  17. Lets put this to the test. Any newbies(anyone actually) want to pick the CACs out of this group. Hopefully they do not stick out like sore thumbs, being a bit color blind I hope thats not the case! I guess to a lot of folks that do not collect CACs this wouldn't look like a problem. And they may actually not realize how close these are getting!!!!Maybe this pic will open some eyes. And to me it looks like a huge problem that is only happening because of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. Love of marbles, really??? Maybe this pic will help explain just a little bit why I feel the way I do. And these are not even the latest run!!!
  18. I probably should have let this post alone. It is just that I see the pattern and coloring of these marbles taking a rather disturbing direction. Hopefully I am wrong. GWW
