  1. There is a print on the box and they are not Vacor. There were actually many more marble companies in Mexico than the Vacor company we are so familiar with. I am having trouble narrowing it down but have a Mexican friend traveling South in a couple weeks and he is going to try and do a little research for me. The box picture looks 30s early 40s
  2. I would put it with the Alley Agates. Looks like a nice one.
  3. When I had mine I did quite a bit of research, I can not find it. I believe 16 statues were given out in 25. Mine was 1927. There was someone doing a bunch of research on the tournamant and he was going to write a book. Found this, http://www.magwv.com/magmarble/kings_and_queens_of_the_ring.html It was Stan Flewelling that I was corresponding with
  4. Several nice ones in there for sure!
  5. There may be Native American stone and clay marbles but unles yoy got them from a site there would be no way to tell. And yes there are tons of stone marbles(limestone probably the most common, Agate and other minerals were also used, many different types of clays and porcelain types also. Google is a great source of information. Clay marbles Bennington Marbles Lined China marbles Crockery marbles All have a lot of info I believe.
  6. Heating in a fry pan and throwing them in cold water. They are called crackled marbles
  7. Ant minimal monetary value as all are fairly common types
  8. Probably Jabo I would guess
  9. Looks like one to me.
  10. Looks like something someone made to me. possibly a remelt of some sort.
  11. I have over a dozen including 2 larger ones. All available
  12. I think they are the same and some red glass just got mixed in with the white when the blue was made.
  13. Hey Derek! Is it a defect r error? Not so sure, It is pretty much the same as the Jabo buttcrack. Not sure if was wanted but just part of the process when the stream got smaller than what was needed for a seam at each end with pelts and vitros, and too big to produce swirls in Jabos?? I have a box of Akro Tri-Colored Agates and over a quarter of them are folded, For some reaso it very rarely ever happened with Master Mades. I have only seen one and I sold it for pretty good coin.
  14. The pelt that looks like 3 seams is just a folded marble where the fold makes what looks like a 3rd seam. Happens in several manufacturers. Stream got thin.
  15. cold rolls, thanks but not what I was looking for. I have since found quite a few with raised seams including a bunch in the Pastel box.
  16. When I lived by the water there was a male Woody paired with a female Mallard. Very funny looking couple.
  17. Still raining here in California, I was greatly disappointed on my trip to Canton to actually see very little snow and lots of green grass!
