  1. Normal glass marbles which glow do not give off radiation.
  2. Once again . Peltier made marbles called Rainbo. Marble King made marbles called Rainbow. The one letter W makes a big difference. Marble King = Rainbow Peltier = Rainbo NO - W
  3. Large common Latticino. Wish it had more colored outer bands. Or a blue or red Latticino.
  4. #7 is a mistake. Forget #7. 1-2-3-3-4-5-6-8-9-10 Correct I went back and forth with these at least five times. Still ended with a extra.
  5. I can't help on this one.

    MK?

    Two Marble King Rainbow's. Not Peltier Rainbo's . Rainbow=MK Rainbo= Peltier
  10. Transitional marble. No cold roll mark.
  11. Vacor or Jabo and Ravenswood Blue Raven.
  12. Most all of the wooden marbles show off boxes are custom made. Sometimes they appear on ebay for sale. Find a wood worker or cabinet maker near you. Show them the pictures and have some made. The holes need to be slightly larger than the actual marble size. One side can have slightly deeper holes than the opposite side. This prevents people from removing the marbles easily from the deeper side. But close the case and turn the case over and they come out easy. If you use to large of a rectangle or piece of wood. It can be difficult to keep the wood from warpping or keeping the two halves flat in order to close well. The holes may or may not be padded. But even bare wood does not mark or damage the marbles. The marbles glass are and should be much harder than the wood. I have had floor cabinets made two feet wide, three and four feet tall, with several drawers with wood trays and holes to hold marbles. I have two wood cabinets three feet wide by six feet tall with glass doors and glass shelves. Full length mirror in the back of the cabinets. No limit to what can be built from wood to hold or display marbles. Some wood cases may fit in a pants hip pocket or cover a wall floor to ceiling.
  13. Leave it to Beaver. We like the same tv shows. Plus Andy & Barney, Gunsmoke, and more.
  14. The bag above is probably from 1945 to maybe 1955-1960.
  15. Hi. My name is wvron and I have been addicted to all marbles for many many years. I was warned early on. But I do not want this addiction to ever go away. It has had so many rewards from all angles. I do not regret any single week of it. I have dug marbles at almost all the marble factory sites from St.Louis to the east coast. I have helped with seven or eight marble books. I have attended hundreds of marble shows from Maine to FL to Kansas to TX and most in between. The best of it all has been the people along the journey.
  16. One I have not seen yet. But Alley sure made that glass cup. Probably at Pennsboro 1933-1937. Still more to be found, just waiting for a home.
  17. Nice boards, they are worth more than the marbles. People may want the boards but collectors with a years experience would pass on the marbles. As you have seen marbles can take years to learn. There are to many varieties to learn in a year. Some are worth a penny each and some are worth $100.00 or $500.00 each, and every where in between. It only takes one good one out of 1000 to make it worthwhile.
  18. I see a few of the green and white swirled Tiddley Wiinks cups up there. Glad we got to do it back then. Not so sure we could do it today ? Those were long hard days and nights. When we found the honey hole, we could not leave it. Nola and myself worked the day shift 7am to 7pm. Bill and Griff worked the night shift 7pm to 7am. We got about five hours sleep, drove back over a hour and back in the dirt for 4 or 5 days straight, day and night. Good thing we were younger, not young but less than 70. Once in a lifetime memories.
  19. They are all older Marble Kings. I see three Girl Scouts. Mint they are $10.00 sometimes $15.00 each.
  20. Some rare Alley items above. I knew where that Chiquita table cloth was for over 10 maybe 15 years. But it finally came home with me from the last Sistersville WV marble show. Maybe someone will find a second one some day ? A lady(now decased) who worked for Alley at St.Marys WV. She filled or packaged the Chiquita boxes and told me at least twenty years ago, that each box set of dishes contained the table cloth. She described it, but I never saw one until this one, about 10-15 years ago. It is still the only one I have seen or heard of. I told a few Alley collectors about it years ago. One of those found one and finally sold it to me. I have three sets of the plastic forks, spoons and knife sets. Several of those sets above are rare to find. They were made at the Pennsboro and early at the St.Marys WV Alley factory locations. We dug thousands of the dishes at the Pennsboro site. Maybe Bill McCaleb will add the Alley glass insulators ? He dug 200 or more of them.
  21. Original. Many of the pop bottle hangers are fake.
  22. Alley Agate small 1 1/4 inch tall flower Thumb pots. They are slightly larger at the bottom than Akro Thumb pots. None are marked Alley. If they are marked Braun Corwin they were produced by Alley. They can be solid opaque or swirled or translucent. The most common color is old jade green. Below is the wire holder for the thumb pots which spins. Alley also produced different kinds small glass birds and animals. Below are two yellow birds. The only two found so far. Alley made two different birds, scottie dog, goose, terrier dog setting upright, squirrel holding a nut, rooster, donkey, etc. But Smith glass made some almost identical. Below pictured are the brass cut outs from which the molds were made.
