  1. Akro Cherryade. Tomato belongs with Vito, they are opaque. Vitro Tomato
  2. The net bags with the tag Made in West Germany is some misleading. As the marbles were made in the Netherlands. We had a discussion about this a few years back when people thought these marbles were made in Germany. They may have been old stock marbles that were packaged and sold in Germany. But maybe not actually the marbles made there as the tag states. Maybe the bag was Made in West Germany. This has happened for other companies. I have seen Jabo marbles bagged and sold with labels stating made in WV. Which is not correct. Maybe the bag was made in WV, but not the marbles. Like Fenton marbles. Fenton glass never ever made one single marble. Fenton furnished some glass and Marble King made the marbles. But the bag label states Fenton Art Glass Marbles. They are marbles made by Marble King with Fenton Glass. I still see one of these bags once in a while at shows being sold as Fenton marbles. Fenton sold these bags of MK marbles in their on site gift shop until they closed for good. So the plastic net bags with tags Made in West Germany may contain older marbles. The plastic net bags may be a much later newer date than the paper label bags. Plus being plastic net is much newer than the old mesh net bags. Also the smaller the hole size of the mesh net, the older the mesh net is. That is small holes or tight mesh with the paper label bag. Probably a very early Veilgglas marbles bag.
  3. Over 25 years, still interested, still learning every week. I will never know what each one is. But each year is more than the previous year.
  4. Five nice Vitro Exotics or Fancy Conqueror's. If mint they are at least $5.00-$10.00 each.
  5. The Alley Halloween is black base and orange swirl, no green. These two might be Alley ? Need better pictures.
  6. Modern. It may be Vacor ?
  7. Imperial from Asia. No eyelashes, just pulled glass and roll marks. Glass to cold. Three colors added to white base. Value 5 - 10 cents.
  8. Value is a penny each. Old does not mean valuable.
  9. No oxblood, just reds. All Alley swirls, except maybe the 4th one in the first row. But it might be Alley. I did not see a green base and black Alley Pistachio. The Alley Pistachio is one certain green base which has to glow, with black or very dark purple swirls and or flames.
  10. I agree green and white are Akros. Nice Alley Pistachio. Yellow base and orange CAC. The red flame is Alley.
  11. Nice marble. But for me there is just something odd or not right with this marble. If it is a true Akro cork ? It is a good one. I have never been convinced that Akro ever did any actual planned experiments with marbles. I think they knew exactly what they were doing. They had errors and mistakes that people label experimental. When things were running smooth operators played around trying different things. But they were not planned engineered experiments. The colors on this one are bright but thin for most Akros. The first picture shows a mint four color Popeye Hybrid. Which would be extremely rare. To good to be true ??????? Good luck. ???????????????
  12. There are billions and billions of transparent colored clearies of all sizes from all companies. Some have bubbles or seedy lesser quality glass. Very very few can be placed with any certain marble company or time frame. All the above is why they have almost zero collector value. When you produce 250 per minute twenty four hours per day, five or seven days a week. Do the math one million marbles comes about many times per year. Even for one single company alone. How many marbles companies do we know of in the USA or the World ?
  13. I am not sure enough with any of the above to give a identification. I am not even sure how many different marbles are above ? I don't know if the first four pictures is one marble two marbles or three different marbles ?? But i do know that there is no Vitro Helmets above.
  14. Collecting marbles is easy. Like I have said earlier, it is easy and fun to buy. But that can end up a problem. Now you are discouraged because you have spent money on damaged and or common marbles that many collectors had years ago or are not interested in. To collect marbles for any amount of time. You have to learn some about marbles. That part takes time and effort. As I have said earlier learn and then buy. Buy as you learn, not buy and learn afterwards that you are disappointed with what you purchased. Marbles have many different rewards. But they are not always fast. Like many good rewards it takes time and effort. I have told you more than once that marbles condition is number one no matter how old, how new or how rare. Learn the basics what is handmade, what is machine made, what a pontil is. Just a few things for starters. There is marble collecting information in many places on the internet. But you have to do your own study with time and effort. Did a marble collector tell you it would be easy and fast ? I tell any new collector, it will be hard, take lots of time and effort. But people who do the work and learn marbles, receive the different rewards. Most marbles collectors stay with marbles for years or a lifetime. Because of all the time and effort to learn them. I still learn something new about marbles every week, after over twenty five years. You will not learn marbles in a year. You will not double or triple your money with marbles the first year. You will make mistakes, we all have. Mistakes can be good teachers. If we learn from our mistakes ? Now you are at a point of give up, give your marbles away or trash them ? Or learn and then buy what you learn. You do not have to own a marble to learn about it. You are in a area that could be very good for marble collecting. That could be a benefit for you and marble collectors in the US. Good luck in what your decision may be.
  15. Thank you ! I have seen lots of comments on the two U-Tube, Ravenswood video's. Most like it, some will not no matter what. We only had time to touch on some of the high points. Ravenswood Novelty is where and what marbles I started with. But of course I live only ten miles from Ravenswood WV. Grew up around here and went to high school at Ravenswood. But it did not take long to branch out 50-75 miles in all directions for many different companies. Sometime in the near future we may get a video or video's done on Lawrence Alley and his marbles. I could do days of video on Alley. It will be difficult to pick and choose what for any Alley video.
  16. Nice marble. I have watched you and your marbles improve with time.
