Ah well, here goes. A few ashtrays made in Murano Italy, loaded w heavy chunky gold lutz and some killer patterns, got em all at yard sales except on at a thrift store. Spendy little buggers new I guess, anyway I really like em & just wanted to share them with ya. All are marked and are embossed w/ ITALY on the bottom. There are knock offs out there just like everything else !! I'm pretty sure you did because I remember them but I don't think it was here? It is nice glassware though 😊

William
Cool find last week I forgot to post. Since I highlighted one of my interests being agates and agate hunting in this thread, I'll put it here! Found my first "raw" agate in the wild encased in glass 😊

That's cool Tommy, what a great hobby, I've always wanted to do that, the creek beds and ground around here are somewhat lacking as far as the gold content goes. To do any good you have to go Northeast to the desert part of the Oregon. My uncle used to have a dredge and a dry setup like yours.

Once in a while I'll pick one up if it catches my eye...yours could be, maybe research the history of your area too see what some of the more common fossils are that are recovered (assuming yours was discovered in your area). I tend to find alot of varieties aquatic vegetation around here in the "shot" rock. It gets tricky, helps to know someone who has a little background (unlike me 😂). I found many large pieces in the rock pile that used to be along my driveway. What I thought was fossilized snake skin ended up being the leaves of an underwater plant! I know a dealer who sets up in a handful of antique malls in the Tri-State area (Southeast Minnesota, Western Wisconsin and Northeast Iowa) who sells color and non-color treated agates, fossils, etc. (Where I purchased some of the goods you saw in this thread). When time allows, I love hunting my own also. Buried in this thread are pics of some of the agates I have found, along with some pics of one of this dealers displays. Thanks for sharing 😊
