We had a group, Ron Shepherd (RIP), Bill McCaleb(RIP), Nola Morgan, Dave Becker and I called "RARS". It stood for "Rare Alley Recovery Squad. It was so much fun competing at shows to see who could find the rarest Alley. The rule we followed was, If you set it down and your fingers are not touching the marble it was up for grabs. So many times, one of us would look at a marble but were not quite sure and put it back. Ron eagle eye Shepherd would have it in his hand, and it was sold. It was so much fun when we all were in a room at the same time, like chickens picking feed. Sure do miss them days and those guys. Anyhow, many of those marbles came from back in that time period. 1

schmoozer
Two old Italians fighting over who gets the cork. (Found all 3 at an antique store in Tombstone, AZ.) took me a few days to come up with that line…getting old. 1

Fire1981
I got escorted out of Tomestone by the Sheriff for riding my horse down Main Street during a monsoon. Why ? Because all I had on was my hat, boots and my underwear. Happy Hour at Big Nose Kate’s probably had something to do with it as well. 🔥 RAR🤪 1
The Nickel Guy
Had to travel a bit to the Dermatologist yesterday and knew I would check out two Antique Malls before I came home. It was the Bumblebees that got me. If you click on the images, they can enlarge. Got these two pint size jars. There were only 7 casualties. The usual clearies and game type. I am going to highlight some that were in here in other posts. I cleaned them and sorted last night. I was quite pleased but I didn't find any real rare mibs in there. Thanks for lookin'
The Nickel Guy
Here's a couple other images of the sorted trays. I just like using odd ice cube trays when sortring. There are a bunch of Vitro Conquerors and some Tri-lites and the some of the swirls are absolutely super cool. About a half dozen Peltier Rainbows. The images just don't capture them well at all. A good number of the Vitros light up under UV too. That's a bonus. I think there are some Opals and also there are Akro Moonies and maybe a few patches incl a Moss Agate I suspect.
