Not sure what a non-43 steelie would be worth🤔. and yes, we broke open old thermometers, and played with the mercury in our hands. Couple of years ago I came across one of a different color at an antique mall with a $50 price tag on it. Was advertised as a champagne bottle holder? Interesting!
