A Silly Question

how many Japanese pinch/crease pontil transitionals would it take to break the record for the largest collection of them?

Maybe---just maybe a one/half pint container full is what I may have.

At one point, Ron Shepherd had what I think was a "Santa Claus" box full. That's the most I've ever seen in one place - maybe a hundred or so.

Do you have enough to fill up a 55 gallon trash can. Don’t take that out of context think that’s where they belong 🔥

RAR

😮😮😮You've seen that many Yasudas in one place?

Go for it!!! 👍👍👍

Thank you! 😄 I absolutely love these guys! (Japanese transitionals). I think its the combination of their history and eye appeal that does it for me.

So far I have 90 including 9 shooters.

Show us the shooters--that would be cool.

I have from time to time gone through my "disgards" and found a few "Yasudas".

I consider them to be keepers now--just not back then.

Marble--On!!

Here's the shooters. They're all 0.99" and over.

Cool, thanks for showing these. Do the cut-offs on the opaque marbles look like they usually do on the transparent ones?

A photo showing the cutoffs would be very helpful. 🙂

Thank you 🙂

Yeah, the opaque ones have the messy crease line as the transparent ones. However, I have seen one red and white example (closer to 0.75") that has a pinch pontil.

It seems like Japanese transitionals can have either a pinch pontil or a crease pontil.

I'll try and get a close up of the pontils in some more pictures.

That'll be great - thanks!

Here are a few I have posted in the past.
