J_Ding
A nice tri-lite. Not my best one, mind you...I'll hold back on that one for now. I like these; so diverse and so varied. John
Steph
That's just so nice. So simple, yet ... pure is the word which comes to mind. Pure marble.
J_Ding
I don't see an Opal here on this Vitro thread. I hoard these too. This one is very busy, and very interesting. John (Edit to clarify the language... ) Â Â Â
Steph
For a second I thought you were saying that didn't look like an Opal. And I was thinking, but it looks JUST like an Opal. LOL ... thanks for posting an Opal. I love them too.

Steph
Oh, I didn't see the red one. Does that one have a name? It makes me think Wedding Cake, but not quite.
J_Ding
It's a smaller marble than a cake. Some collectors think these are Wedding Cakes too. I think they are contemporary, but shouldn't be called a cake. How about calling these "petit fours." Those, pretty, and I think, annoying little treats that the eye enjoys more than the appetite. I won't touch them. It's a perfectly descriptive term, if annoying. Maybe Raspberry Tort would work just as well!

J_Ding
Dislike greatly the name of this marble (biscuits and gravy). Undignified; and I even like the food item.
J_Ding
I received a few of these from my friend M. She said she got all of hers in one lot, some years ago. Neat-o.
Ric
Dislike greatly the name of this marble (biscuits and gravy). Undignified; and I even like the food item. It beats "cowtail", which is another name I have heard for these.
Ric
I received a few of these from my friend M. She said she got all of hers in one lot, some years ago. Neat-o. Nice All Red . . . It goes to show that the "messy" ones are often more interesting (better) than more typical ones. I love it when Vitros swirl!
