  1. This showed up in the mail today. New seller described it as an Akro. Ummm? No.

    Bulgarian?

    Bulgarian confirmed over on AllAboutMarbles.com
  3. Initially described as a Transitional, seller contacted me and said she came to believe it was Bulgarian and I could cancel the buy. I wanted to see it in hand and she offered to take it back if I'd pay return postage. It's a very pretty mib. Just under 15/16 (29/32). Very rough pontil - third photo. Comments welcome.
  4. I've just called them Japanese Transitionals.
  5. Colors make me think Christensen Agate.

    Need help!

I'm afraid I agree with Jabo.
  7. Not seeing slag. I'm going with WV swirl.
  8. Not Master. Eye lashes do lean towards Akro.
  9. Cheese -- I've got a fellow collector friend who's dying to find another Toucan. There has *got* to be more out there. Repost of my pair.
  10. Took this photo for another forum, but thought I should post it here also. Four early Peltier NLR swirls. All just under 7/8. Little Superboy is just under 5/8 for comparison. A Spiderman, a wannabe Flaming Dragon, a Rebel and a Ketchup and Mustard.
  11. A group of contemporaries in my collection. Love the Kitty at the top.
  12. Late to the party. Your Blue Sky is in fact a Blue Sky and I'm pretty certain your Coral is an Alley Coral. Transparent base or opaque? This matched set of Ravens I acquired more than 15 years ago. Fourth and Sixth columns are the most common brown-based Blue and Green swirls. The second column seems to be much harder to find.
  13. So... Here you go. A bit of color.
  14. Actually, that's a great idea. I'll find something colorful and post another.
  15. Back in the first part of January, I posted an Alley grey and white flame. I thought it was pretty unusual and didn't expect to find a twin for some while. Two days ago another came into my possession. First one on the left and new one on the right. And this is *not* a black and white photo.
  16. I *really* don't consider mine to be a Guinea. Seller used the phrase to make the sale. Still think it's a pretty cool bullet mold marble.
  17. Collecting twins can be fun. Adds another level to the collecting. Especially if you end up some harder to find orphans.
  18. This showed up in the mail today. Described as a Czech Purple/Yellow Guinea. Transparent purplish/pinkish base and yellow ribbons. Pretty obvious bullet mold. Kind of small at 17/32.
  19. Not the brightest Alley Flame in my collection. Still I kind of love it.
  20. Guess I'll pile on to. Think they're both Alley. First on just doesn't have a CAC feeling for me.
  21. MFC Tornado. Digging through my junk box this slag appeared. A kind of weak '9', but one heck of a tornado down through the center of the marble.
  22. Hmm?? Never backlit the blue one before, but it does appear to have blue glass mixed with clear. Unfortunately I won't be making Canton this year - or probably any year.
