  1. I want to add something, the accounting at the back of the price-list,I wonder if it's the German language,I do recognize only 1 word from it. OK it's old writing and sloppy but when it's German I should have recognize something more. The only word i can see is:"" diverse"" (it's German and French) what means various. I've thought of the French language but can't see that also. winnie
  2. LOL but your screen is clean now,it's a real window cleaner. winnie
  3. My dog is so thrilled about the cat's winnie click http://www.xs4all.nl/~kijkweb/kijkaan/bravehond/bravehond.swf
  4. there is no rest of the account,I've saved this years ago from Ebay, because it gives some evidence that Germany has made marbles. I made a fault as you can see,it's not from Herbert Kühnert but from G.Kühnert. I'll try to translate: Right under G.Kühnert&Co,Glashüttenwerk it says: Christmas decorations-Glass marbles-.......-buttons-Glass toys. Lauscha 26 May 1935. Account for Erich Höhn Scheibe Alsbach. We send by......... 1 box....... 2 boxes Glass marbles "marmorriert=marmoreal?" 5.70. It seems that Herbert Kühnert was a son of glass manufacturers born in 1887-1970. winnie
  5. Thanks Steph, here's an account from Herbert Kühnert, from 1935 Akronmarbles would you want to post the letter? winnie
  6. I see what you mean,me too use to think they are all the same type, now i find these differ from the wirepulls.I would call them transparant swirls. I would like to know what others think about it. Here are some colored transparant base ones with a white swirl, except for the middle, white in clear glass. winnie
  7. LOL i just see that the second from right-top row from the first pic has also green yellow and white. winnie
  8. Thanks all Don't have pink swirls in clear glass, but i've some with white followed by a small dark red thread which changes the clear base in pink. Yes i've the funky pastel ones. The yellow-green and blue ones appears in different shades from light to dark. Top row left marble pic-2,think thats the rarest of your wirepulls, looks like yellow and green. This are the only ones i've with white following by 2 colors in clear glass and i've lots of wirepulls, they are easy to find here. winnie
  9. Perhaps you can notice there are some differences. One thing they have in common, they all have a clear glass base with a white continuous swirl following by a color, except bottom row second from the right which has an amber base with a white swirl, actually i don't know if it's a wirepull at all. They are made in Germany winnie
  10. Oh yeah I'm lost,don't get it,don't see a perfect corkscrew. winnie
  11. very nice,I like those clear based ones a lot,you don't see them that often. winnie
  12. some from 2 continents. winnie
  13. WOW,great marbles all,let them come. winnie
  14. After looking at your pictures,I know today i love most of all patches, which may change again tomorrow. Very nice!!!!! winnie
  15. Not mine. Picture from Morphy Auctions. winnie
  16. Oh my I'm jealous too. Who can have made that beauty? winnie
  17. I'm not sure what you mean. Do you mean with crease pontil the spidery Japanese ones? Most of the spidery cut-offs have less quality glass and not so nice patterns but the difficulty is that some of them have good quality glass and very nice nine's. The marbles in this picture have all good quality glass and nice patterns but all of them have different cut-off's, spidery-short straight lines-long straight lines and pin point,or no cut-off at all (totally smooth) The blue-white one in the middle has the tail swirling around the marble and almost ends at the nine. I have a few transi's where the tail ends in the nine Again i'm not sure if this answered your question. winnie
  18. Rich it's a Vitro but not a "modified tri lite",it's a Vitro conqueror. winnie
  19. Thats really a great job, please tell me how long will it take to hand-polish a marble of that size and that damage? I think you must have strong hands to do this LOL winnie
  20. Elastolin was one of the manufacturers who made toy soldiers and there were other manufacturers who made them such as Hausser and Lineol. The composite (in those days a secret recipe),was a malleable substance that was puched in a mold to get his form. Here are 2 soldiers which belonged to my late brother. The left one is Lineol and the right one Elastolin. winnie
  21. In those day's every toy manufacturer has his own secret recipe for a composite to make for toys. Germany has made many toys of a certain composite, such as dolls, toy soldiers, items for doll houses etc... Here we call it simple composition or sometimes Gutta percha. Oh and Elastoline is a trademark of toy soldiers made of a secret composite. Thats all I know about it. winnie
  22. Never saw a Bennington with that color Ric. It's nice to see pottery marbles that are made in America. Some boring ceramics that i found here LOL. winnie
  23. Thats a nice box with swirls Ron,they look very familiar LOL. I suppose that cute little box is new? Bottom right has a nice color. Here some more ,12 swirls. winnie
  24. They are a little bit different from what I mostly find here in Holland. The ones on top at both pictures are opaque, the others are transp-,they are 3/4 the first 4,the last 4 are 5/8. German? winnie
  25. I meant some of the small ones, when I would see them at Ebay from pic-,they could easely fool me. For example;the second group (blue-red) left on top,and some of the green ones. winnie
