Happy slag and swirl Saturday! Here's a slaggy swirl . . . A nice transparent green base and bright white - just shy of 7/8" and glows like crazy under UV.

My bet is that some of the marbles Akro packaged as Flinties did not show the opalescent fire. I say this because I have a few marbles that show the "fish eye" and other traits that point to Akro and they do not glow. -
I'm pretty sure Dave meant to type Liberty Rebel - hybrid between a Liberty and a Rebel. This is a great marble no matter what it's called. To me it sort of looks like a hybrid between an Orange Rebel (orange & black) and a Liberty (red & blue). Or maybe a Liberty Rebel + orange.

I think the colors on your earlier photo look a lot more like what I'm used to. 👍 It's surprising how different the two photos look. . .

Maybe it is a Japanese transitional and it just has an exceptionally clean "pontil" - they are usually pretty rough. It's a very nice marble, regardless.

It's a cool looking marble, whatever it is. And while I certainly haven't seen them all, it doesn't look like any Akro Corkscrew I've seen before. Looks a bit more like some sort of a hand-gathered marble - reminds me a bit of a Japanese Yasuda, but I haven't seen one of those like this either. It'll be interesting to see what others say. Maybe a contemporary?
