I really do love this thread! Here's an odd thing . . . a ground-faceted pontil and a relatively large as-made something-or-another on a slag that is 31/64" at its largest diameter. Has anyone seen others like this? Is it from a piece of jewelry or something? Kinda wild . . .

It's also interesting how reactivity will vary with the wavelength of your UV source - might be why Ann is finding "new" ones.

Here's a Master I found recently. It looks like a well shaken snow globe. Kinda cool.

Nice board, Orbboy. For stone, I might think Lapis Lazuli from the pics. But a couple almost look like they might have "salt glaze" spots on them. What info was given to you? P.S. Perhaps Northern Africa or even Egypt?

Thanks again, Galen. I kinda figured those might be Japanese Transitionals, although I had no idea they could get to 1". Your remarks on the feathery one make good sense to me too. I'll do my best to get that one in your hands in Canton - it'd be nice to finally meet you.

And then there are these . . . The smallest is a shade over 1/2" and the largest is 19/32". Some are out-of-round. They are hand-gathered but I don't know if they are entirely hand-made or transitionals, and whether they are showing pontils or cut-offs. If anyone has any information on these I would appreciate hearing it. And if anyone else has examples of slags with prominent seams or cutoffs, please show them. Thanks

I would say condition, AV not apparent in the pics, and too high of a starting bid.
