Nice finds Bob. Wish Brimfield wasn't 3k miles away. My first thought was a new marble as well. I go to antique shows and stores and see them in jars or mixed in with older mibs. At least with the Jabo investor it was easier as the size of 3/4" helped give it away. Sammy's are 5/8". Gonna be a lot of confusion for future collectors.

I prefer a power squid. Its unique way of each connector being separated. Different companies now make them. Some even are even warranted for the equipment in case of accidents.

He buys off of ebay. I think he knows more than he says he does.

It's actually more rare to have no AV. Rare doesn't always mean more $$$. I have some from both machine made to handmade that are just way butt ass ugly but wont bring the $$$. That being said people WANT the bling and will pay accordingly.

The mushroom shapes make are called clouds and are end/begin of the cane. Here are some clouds from previous Morphy's (not mine) -
Very nice pics. You must have done some renovation at some point for the building to be in that great shape. Reward the ground hog to make him bring you more marbles.

Story About An Online Auction...

Sounds like you've been Morphied Greg. As a person that has done customer service for many years and taken payment over the phone thousands of times the person was correct in that they don't keep the cc on file where the person taking the payment can see it. It's a different program that is used. Once the number has been inputted anywhere from the whole number to the last 4 are "X"ed out. Some companies even forbid the employee from writing down any numbers. Even if taking multiple payments for security reasons. You can see it on the website but they don't have access to that due to passwords. Even when you call your cc company to make payment most now only see the last 4 digits. Once a payment is taken over the phone it should take no more than 48 hours to go thru. It can be can done same day as well if the payment is done before bank closing. -
The 3/4" is pretty much the magic number for the big bucks. Factor in all the points discussed and your wallet will be much lighter. Wadely yours is over the top.

Galen types faster than me lol.

Other factors to consider is pattern and amount of AV. More AV. More price. For pattern Is it just your basic straight ribbon or is it swirl any. Basic ribbon should be about $40. Add about 20-40 to that on a nice swirl pattern. Heavy AV and very swirly can reach over 100.

Love that vase. The purple is cool.

Very nice box. When I first started collecting people were always saying to help ID learn the cut lines. Then after talking to some of the original factory workers that were still alive it changed. It changed to learn your colors first as the shear cuts can change as the shears got dull and had to be sharpened. Also, check those light blue (turquoise) ones. They sometimes have oxblood in them. Not intentional. Brian Graham mentioned that it has some way to do chemical. I may be more slightly jealous than Galen.

Roughly How Many Colored Glass Cateyes Here.

Galen, I was going with a base color. Usually transparent and 4 inside ribbons that usually meet in middle. Looks alone. I know cats can have more veins/ribbons. This would be like the pelt cross thru's. and MK cats. Plus to just muddle it up further. Think of the opaque base with 4 ribbons. It's very similar. OK back to you Hansel. -

I have blue one and MK red one from the dump. It's also gonna be how you classify a cateye. Some that we may not think of as cats, but are built the same way. Ie. pelt rainbo. Opening a can of "cats" by doing this. Here is a pic (not mine) of some pelt cross thrus. They are constructed just like cats. -
I have to agree with the gnome. First thing come to my mind on the confetti was vacorish.

I only had problems with marbles that had very little design. The more clear and no design to defract the light can do that. Hand one the partly melted a caliper. Sunlight makes packaging fade.

They look like the ones that are used in fiberglass. They are shipped as marbles and made into fiberglass at the plant. Makes shipment easier.
