  1. Pavcraz is back. Try ebay 130339428544. Bet the paint ain't even dry on that boat - - -
  2. Yep, it's a shrunken onionskin -- nice one. The other, yellow one -- different people would call different things, so just throwin' it out there - - - I personally would call it a banded transparent; some might call it a transparent indian. Probably other things too! But then in my collection I have degrees of banded transparents (maypole, a few bands only one or two colors, more bands only one or two colors, more bands more colors, lots of bands one or two colors, lots of bands lots of colors = joseph's coat , , ,) Nice Jabo rainbows!
  3. Hi Burt -- Can you post a pic of another view of the pink & white one? Looks like you've got a wierd one goin' there . . . shrunken onionskin, maybe? Ann
  4. Auger?? A giant auger??? Wowwww . . .
  5. Me too. Although I grew up in eastern North Carolina, and sometimes we also called them "klognockers." [or clognockers? or klognokkers? or . . .] Have no idea where that term came from. Ann
  6. Yep. One of those limits I make myself observe, when it comes to buying marbles. Like I cannot allow myself to buy a marble biger than 1 and 1/8 [larger ones to me are orbs or spheres or something; I can't let myself think of them as marbles!]. I have to restrict myself with size, because I can't restrict myself with type or period. I'm weak. Well, I confess I've been eyeing Koko a lot lately . . .
  7. 1 1/8, and other views? Even more WOW. [sue he seems to be avoiding our "will you give it to me" questions . . .]
  8. Good point. Take a look at Alan's link, above, for lots 68 & 71. They're the same, aren't they? What do you think? At the moment, I'm more worried about finding one, since my chances of having enough $$$ to buy it would be slim to none! And then would come the weepin, the wailing . . .
  9. No kidding! But just from that view, I would have pegged it as a Pelt multicolor. It's really a Vitro? Either way, wanna give it to me?? Ann
  10. Jeez, OK, yellow with an orange patch, too. And no, I don't have much hope that I'll ever SEE a Bimbo on blue in person, or that if I find one, the owner won't know what it is . . . Anybody ever seen one on white with a blue patch? (and zaboo, I'm not usually much on cute, but I swear yes, he's just the cutest thing! Also helps that he's wierd, and named Bimbo!) Thanks everyone, Ann
  11. Yep. I have the Bimbo on yellow with a red patch -- I think I got it from marblealan . . . But now, thanks to your link, I see that I'm going to have to spend the rest of my life searching for a Bimbo on green with a yellow patch, and a Bimbo on blue with a yellow patch. Like I'd have the funds if I ever found them . . . but I'll worry about that then! Thanks, I think! Ann
  12. You mean Bimbo on red with a yellow patch?
  13. So far, I've managed to avoid getting hung up on the Peltier character marbles (gotta have one of each - I do NOT want to go there) but I'm a sucker for Bimbo. I don't even want to think about why. So here's my question for Peltier people . . . I have a Bimbo on yellow with a red patch (which seems to be the most usual), and a Bimbo on white with a green patch (haven't seen many). Anybody have, or know of, Bimbo on other color combinations of Peerless Patches? Thanks, Ann
  14. Nice -- that close-up answers my question about the eagle --
  15. Thanks -- Yes, that was one of mine. I was intent on looking at the faces of the players on the medals, and I couldn't tell from the photos which one you were talking about. I didn't realize that only one was actually titled like you described until I looked at the medals again. Is that kind of an eagle or something over the head of the boy playing marbles?
  16. Whoops. I guess you totally missed everything I was saying, too. I was speaking of sterling silver in general, and just commenting that an original anything made of sterling (especially if it's small) may not have a readable or even noticable "sterling" stamped on it. It should, but it doesn't always. My questions about the metal used for the repros and the ribbons were just things I wanted to know. What about any of it made you so angry?
  17. Wasn't this also the one that was thought to be Christensen for a while? Really NICE one Dani! I yike it too - - -
  18. Tater Bugs are new to me -- are they Alley, or should they be just "West Virginia swirl?" Thanks, Ann
  19. How absolutely horrible. Especially the electric blue and black one - - -
