  1. Deepest blue base I've ever personally seen on a German Latt
  2. The marble posted looks To be in pretty decent original shape. A good example for its type and would display well. If any mica Lutz or aventurine, you'd be looking at a premium. The dark streak in the blue looks like contamination or debris but throw a couple sparkles in the mix and interest goes up
  3. Value is so subjective. You probably won't get a straight answer. Some people consider any type of damage = worthless. Other people value the rarity or the color or the pattern etc. Etc etc
  4. maybe it will show up better on a darker background? I'll go along with slag. Could have been a variety of makers unless some sort of defining trait(s). The clear looks like good quality glass
  5. If no facets I'd go with Navarre
  6. They are better than I could do but they look a bit like they could use some more practice on the symmetry/pattern. That, plus the more obvious left hand twist, size, and richness of colors all lean towards contemporary practice marbles.
  7. Wanted $300 for the new book? Or for the marble? To me the marble looks kind of like Champion Jr.but with transparent blue base?
  8. Any aventurine sparkles in the black?
  9. I'm seeing alley on both. 2nd guess veliglass or Cac on the left one but I'd expect more opaque white for either.
  10. With those horizontal lines I'm thinking modern Chinese is a possibility? Need more detail
  11. Freed these examples the other day...was hoping for something other than clearies. Still kinda neat once cleaned. Anybody else have any luck?
  12. Interesting. They sure look like they belong together
  13. Trying to think of any machine made marbles with Lutz? Other than the most recent Jabos etc
  14. I hear ya. My "rules" of solitaire with that board as a kid would be to simply stare at the marbles. Thanks for sharing
  15. Agreed. Keeping in mind that machine made cats eye marbles have been made for what... close to 100 years now? So it could very well have some age to it. But fairly common in the grand scheme of things.
  16. Master was my first thought.
  17. Yeah, I'd respectfully disagree (that those pointed out are Vacor, or that the OP is Vacor). But they are not mine, nor do I have the option of studying them in hand (and admittedly the experience some of you do). But that's what I like about this board.
