  1. I've had them in the past...I think the prep work/recipe/skill has a lot to do with how well the plate turns out. When I was a kid, the liver always seemed like shoe leather (sorry, Mom). Then I read somewhere that the livers retain a bunch of non-desirable things nowadays.
  2. Pretty sure this has been done. Not on a machine made scale (that seems kinda ominous), but handmades.
  3. Some other nice Pelts as well. Are these from ebay or local?
  4. I'd have it in with my beat-up Pelts. Some might even call it a "submarine" if the blue base is opalescent when backlit
  5. I have more marble books than I know what to do with. Agree with the priceguides being very subjective. It's interesting to see how some of the old guides were so far off wrt value and IDs
  6. NHL was doing this way back Post cereal maybe? i've got a couple kicking around somewhere
  7. Riddle me this, how did they get the metal in there? How were the beads made?
  8. How the feet are attached to the board might be a clue to age. Nice
  9. Agreed. those clear ones are tough to photo, so nice pics
  10. red looks CAC, blue looks Vacor, red & yellow wants to be a Pelt in a couple images ( I don't think it is)
  11. Like so. People have their opinions on polishing...This marble was a solid core Leroy helped me out with (some people might call it something else) but the point is it looks way better now than it did before. Leroy had quite the knack.
  12. I'd put the first with my "possible" CACs
  13. Tough call. Onionskins are most susceptible to the poles opening up with polishing. If you go ahead please post some "after" pics.
  14. Condition looks pretty rough but a couple are interesting. With the glass marbles just be careful with hot/cold change of temperature, they could fracture. The China's look clean enough I'd probably just leave them.
  15. But are they Shades of Deep Purple? lol couldn't resist. Yeah so purple makes perfect sense for Navarre. I'll stick with my original guess on the top one
  16. Good question! The grayscale must be throwing off because they all look different sizes. No wait, I see what you mean.
  17. that would be a fun group to sort. I can see enough from those pics to convince me
  18. Maybe the same company that made the marbles for Hungry Hungry Hippos?
  19. Maybe it's the crop that makes the marble look way out of round. Does it light up under UV?
